Harry Kane

Made no attempt to force the move so he can stay where he is.
You reap what you sow in life and Harry has got what he deserves.

Happy and willing to sign a huge and lucrative 6 year deal which secures him for this life and the next!

Now go and show the same commitment to your club and stop sulking and let's hope this ship has sailed into mediocrity.

You haven't got a clue what went on behind the scenes.

If Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy told Kane he won't be sold, and/or if City didn't meet Spurs valuation of Kane, Kane had no choice but to stay at Spurs.

In that sense it was the same as Bernardo. Even though Bernardo wanted to leave in the Summer, City's valuation of Bernardo wasn't met by any interested club, hence why Bernardo is still a City player, thankfully.

Kane signed and is trapped in a very long contract because of his own stupidity and loyalty to Spurs. Kane probably signed that long contract in the belief in Poch, and a promise of investment in the team and squad by Lewis and Levy. As for the gentleman's agreement, who knows?

Let's be fair to Kane. It was obvious to everyone, including City fans on this thread, that Kane wanted to sign for City. Bar putting in a transfer request, and going on strike, what else could he have done? And even if he had done both of those things, Lewis and Levy still wouldn't have sold him to City.

Remember, Tevez went on strike, f*ucked off back to Argentina, played golf, lost millions in wages, came back again, and continued playing for City.

You can be fair to him mate but I'll continue to call him a useless shithouse who's reaping what he sowed right up until the second he's pictured holding up a city shirt.. :-)

It seems to me very clear that Kane was promised a move if Spurs did not win silverware within a specified period and it seems to me also that the rest of the Spurs squad know this too. When we played Spurs the window was still open and Kane was not in their team, which was widely believed to be a sign that he was o his way to us. This may well have been the belief of the other Spurs players because team spirit and morale were high. Then the window closed with Kane still at Spurs and a sure signal that no-one could believe a word Levy said and that no-one else would be allowed to leave before the expiry of their contract. Team spirit and morale collapsed and we have seen the results collapse in September: no commitment, little or no effort and almost complete indifference. Kane is by no means a lost cause and City may well go back in for him in January.

There's already murmurs of Nuno's job being on the line because the players don't like the style of play. Spurs are a shit show and their squad is limited in quality - Son and Kane are their best players by a country mile.

I do feel like it was last Summer or nothing for us and Kane, though. He might get a move elsewhere (just outside of Manchester) but I don't think it'll be here.

I'd like him to come here but we obviously had reservations this year and being a year older won't cure those.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's true. They downed tools for Pochettino, they can do it again.

Imagine being so dim that someone like Levy can "promise" you something as black & white as that and you still don't get it put in your contract. It's beyond idiotic.
