As a club we have no interest in being used as a bank, as a name to throw around for someone looking for a better deal, or any of the other shit we've had the piss taken out of by agents, chairmen, and players, over the years. We've got the best facilities, best manager, and best team in the world. If you come to play for us you'll get rewarded, if you get your head down and play your role in the team you'll be a much better player, if you do well for us you'll get trophies and the latter stages of the CL and a pay rise to go with it, and if you work really, really hard you'll be a club legend with a statue.
To be honest, I think agents know that United are the most gullible football club on the planet, without a discernable scouting or recruitment plan, and if there is even a whiff on interest from us they can get them on the phone and add a couple of £10ms to the transfer fee and a £100ks to their own paycheck.I would love the know the full story on our "failed" deals in the future.

Ronaldo was shopped about all summer to big clubs all over Europe, City weren't interested, upon the Kane deal falling through Mendes tried again and City made vaguely positive noises, Pep wasn't entirely sure but agreed that he'd prefer the option than none at all, there were some early discussions about price, City and Juventus were on their way to hammering something out, and then the United contingent swooped in and changed Ronaldo's mind. We definitely didn't go in to force United's hand, but United are so badly run and desperate that they will continue to fuck themselves over. Why should Levy and Spurs do anything for the National team? People were going crazy on here when KDB turned out for Belgium on one leg, it was out of order to us , the club that pay his wages. Club sides look after No1 and rightly so.
