Gerrard's goal was entirely the fault of our outfielders for not even trying to close him down. From the side-on view I had at the ground I thought Sturridge had buried the first right in the corner but looking at the replay from behind the goal I thought maybe Joe could've got something on it. I do agree with those posters who said Joe's overall game was below par today.

Undoubtedly he's a good keeper, but I don't get people who say he's one of the best in the world, when in all honesty there's a number of better keepers in the PL alone.
There shouldn't be any room for sentiment in football, and if someone better is available, then we should look elsewhere. But that goes for everyone in the squad.
