Hey YOU! why are you a city fan?

always supported the underdog ..... all my mates throughout my life have all been reds ..... even my dad's a red ..... but fook them all none of them get it do they ??????

nothing irritates a rag more than tellin him he doesn't get it ...... he'll always ask get what? hahahahahahahahahaha

Brought up in Belfast in the 60's, when evryone were reds cos of best, so being an awkward c**t, (still am) I chose City. Moved here in 71 and quickly became a season ticket holder for many years. Dont go anymore, sold out to the Sky and Setanta and watch it in comfort now.

My dad's a blue.
He took my younger brother (seven at the time) to a few games at the end of the 1998-1999 season but my brother was never interested.
I, being a girl, was never encouraged into football.
The next season, my dad asks my brother: "Do you want to come to the football today?"
My brother asks: "Will there be smoking and swearing?"
My dad: "Probably, yes."
My brother decided he didn't want to witness any of that so, out-of-the-blue, I pipe up: "Dad, can I go?"
I'll never forget the confusion on my dad's face. Still, he took me to my first game (City 6-0 Sheffield United) and I fell in love with Manchester City Football Club.
That day changed my life completely and, ten years on, I'm still CTID :D

my dad's side of the family have always been blues i have relatives who were supporting ardwick etc so always been there. plus my dad turned up when i was born with a city jacket on, i pop out, nurse gives me to him, i grab hold of the city badge and smear blood on it :) once a blue always a blue. funny considering i went to school in gorse hill (you could see the swamp from the playground unfortunately)and live in stretford so have been surrounded by rags my whole childhood but im glad i made my choice and it was definitely the right one, i hate them arragont tw*ts that call themselves utd fans.

my dad moved to england in 1966 from tanzania, we're an indian family, and when he moved here he lived in ashton as my grandad worked in a factory. and to cut a long story short everyone at his school supported 'that lot' so he decided to be different! once he had finished studying he moved darn sarf with my mum and we live near cheltenham now but i kind of felt obliged to follow my dads team, it just felt right. sometimes i think why did he have to support city but then my conscious kicks in and i realise i wouldnt have it any other way :)

all one half of my family are red, but when I was old enough to understand: I realised I hated them (rags not my family)

Freddie Mercury!

My dad raced motorbikes so wasn't into football, so he asked his mate to take me to Maine Rd. This was in the late sixties and he'd sit me on the wall at the top of the Kippax next to the North stand. Happy days. Hooked since.
