Holidays

You'll enjoy a bus trip to Amalfi. The oublic bus is far cheaper than an organised trip.

Take a boat trip to Naples, the train is always packed out and hot.
And some fucker will nick your sunglasses. It must’ve come as a bit of a disappointment to them that the Ray Bans he’d just trousered we’re off the Lucky Lucky man!

Day Five in Rhodes.
Travelled East by Private taxi up to the Old town. Enjoyed the sights of Mandraki Harbour, Palace of the Grand Master and the bazaar like labyrinth of the many shops and squares.
Two pints, chicken schnitzel with fries and a carbonara for e29 - not shabby at all.
Weather at 33o today :-) @RobMCFC :-)

Amalfi tomorrow. Olive oil producer and winery on Saturday, Capri Sunday.
Capri is beautiful, blue grotto worth a visit and the chair lift is fun.
Eye wateringly expensive tho in the town.
Makes Sorrento look reasonable which is a feat in itself :-).

Had 2 weeks in Capri for my honeymoon 20 years ago and it was expensive, went again last year !! Fucking hell mad prices & the taxis in general in Italy are a fucking disgrace, 30 euros for a 10 min ride.

Sounds great. We are in Pineda de Mar, Spain, our long-time home-from-home at the moment and the weather is a bit of a mixed bag.

Fed up of the hot weather this year anyway :)

Got a barrel load of Autumn/Winter trips to look forward to though.

Beautiful around the old town.

If you get a car have a trip to Mussolini's deralect Villa in the hills.

There's a lovely Swiss style Café close by.

Yamas @Mike Brock
We have booked to go on Monday. Thanks for the tip.We are staying in Stegna.Very quiet and lovely beach here.
Lindos is amazing. Just try and go early in the day or later on, otherwise it gets a bit rammed with boat tourists

Krakow- Auschwitz. Anyone done a tour that includes the newly reclaimed Camp Commandent's house?

Done Auschwitz before, but want this new piece added in. Can't see any tours that include it (or they don't reference it)

Three new things I’ve tried so far in Rhodes.
Swordfish Souvlaki - not for me. It’s too bland, meaty and not a fishy fish at all.
Oregano flavour Crisps - must be available else where in Europe. Why have I ignored these and can we get them in the UK?
Coffee Anise Liquor - fabulous end of evening snifter. Aniseed hit then the coffee takes over.

Hi mate
Was unaware of this commandents house being reclaimed. We’re planning on visiting Krakow in December
Looking into it see below as it looks like you will have to contact the museum in Auschwitz direct for possible access..

  1. Inquire About Specialized Access:While direct interior tours of the commandant's house are unlikely, you can contact the Museum directly through their website to inquire about any specific access or programs.

After spending my whole life wondering why people would holiday in the same place here I am again in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote for the 5th time in 4 years. Love this place its like a 2nd home
I’m a PDC person as I said earlier I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been
I was there in May and will be back in November for approximately 30th visit
We have friends there now and leave a suitcase with towels etc
It’s our spring and winter preference these days
Since we rediscovered the Greek islands in 2020
Enjoy
