Edinburgh flights now £132

Don't intend paying 90 odd quid to stand nearer the moon than the pitch in a bordering unsafe ground.

I'll save my money for next seasons Charity Shield game.

UEFA will fuck us over anyway.

The trip to be fair was great but done it once and that was enough.

Ditto. Had to watch on TV when i got home to fully appreciate the game. Great trip but comfort of the armchair this time round.

So as someone with no points, although I've had 2 season tickets within the last 10 years I have no chance of buying a ticket for this?

I'd say you haven't officially from City. But where there's a will there's a way, especially if you don't mind sitting in the barca end.

I think I'd prefer to sit there anyway to be honest: no bother and a better view and facilities.

No risk of being chucked out for being english?

Danger that any of their fans would kick my head in?

No and no, I'd say.

Champions league games are full of people from around the world. And barca aren't a trouble club.

Plenty of blues in their end last year.

Someone asking about Lloret De Mar earlier....

In March me and my flatmate did 2 nights in Barca and 2 in LDM. LDM was ok but with it being out of season there wasn't much going on, and a lot of places just didn't open. Reasonable weather but cool at night. Return coach was about 20e iirc and takes around an hour e/w. If there are a few of you going then it would be a good laugh, and we did see a few other Blues kicking about.

If people are still looking for cheap ways to get to Spain, try looking for flights into Girona airport, which services the Costa region with good links to Barcelona. Think Ryanair use that airport, surprise surprise.

Giving it a swerve this time. Couldn't even get a ticket for the game in March this year, so don't really fancy all the expense again to just watch it in a pub on Las Ramblas! March is a bad time for me as well, it's shaping up to be a very expensive month already.

Fingers crossed we sneak through and get a good draw as yet to do a Euro away this season.

Cheers FTG, it was me asking.
5 day break with room and board for 250 is a no brainer really. If there's a bar and the sea then i'll make do.

If there are some who will want to sit in the barca end, when they get released I will try and get a group booking( depends on numbers, also not to big a number.)whatever the ticket is,that is all you will pay.

I'd agree with this. My cousin has done it with no bother to report of.

There were a few City end knocking around the day before the game
Last year if you asked around and kept your ear to the ground.

I know some lads who just asked their hotel concierge to get them a barca end ticket, so that's an easy option too.

That's what I'll do then. Does anyone know when Barca will put tickets on sale?
barca have a really odd way of selling them, and they are really dear.

They go on sale, then go off sale and are offered to 'members'. Then a few days before the game the tickets not taken up go on sale. You will see them on those licences ticket tout sites like ticket master for a high price. Barca won't sell you one directly in the uk.

If I were you I'd go over there and get one on matchday or the day before.

How dear we talking? £70 is fine.

Worried that I will end up in Barcelona and without a ticket.

Cheers DD, i fancy home seats to be honest. i'm presuming away end is up in the gods somewhere. Ajax stadium left a sour taste last time and being locked in was shite.

I went to Barcelona last season without a ticket but bought one on the day of the game from the tourist information near the cathedral , all the tourist information places sell tickets but you need to persuade them to sell as they quote uefa rules that they cannot sell to anyone from UK . Was supposed to be a check at the stadium and they suggested I claim to be an Australian or Canadian who had passport stolen so no I'D available. As it happened there was no check anyway . Seat was fantastic on 1st row of 2nd tier underneath the city fans . Plenty of city fans around and no hassle though everyone knew I was a city fan . Ticket cost €122 which was expensive but good value compared to the rubbish view the city fans with tickets had . If you've never been to barca it's a fantastic city but watch your phone as every second city fan seemed to have been robbed .

get the Eurostar to Perpignan, about £116 return, then hire a car/train to Barcalona

Virgin Manchester to London. Euro star London to Paris. TGV from Paris to Barcelona

i never looked at any of these options, thanks it certainly takes the strain of driving away, had a mate who drove to Enland v Cameroon at italia 90 after all those miles and traffic jams he arrived at the stadium 10 minutes before kick off then watched the game and drove home, his Mrs was well pissed off as he told her he was nipping out for a loaf of bread
