How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

All this immigration press would go away if our infrastructure could cope with the number of people.

Underfunding everything has made services hit breaking point and beyond.

You’d hope it was because that’s what 75% of the membership want to hear and the reality will be different. Sadly, we all know it’s not and I’ve a horrible feeling that, after 6 /12 months of Truss, we will be longing for the stable government of Johnson!!

True, but nothing will actually happen. It‘s like performance art. A lot of energy and shouting, yet underneath the realisation nothing will change. There will still be boat crossings, there will still be delays at borders because to do anything substantive and practical about it would be akin to Brexit heresy.

You can smell the futility of it all, the rot at the heart of a third-rate Govt of chancers.
 
There was a guy from a band taking about the difficulties of touring Europe now (I thought that had been eased a little - ckeariy not)

His band was fairly well established but still found it a struggle - it was the new bands that he worried about.

Forget the political / economic/ social analyses for a moment. No matter how much they try to justify it, no matter what slant , what notions, what ideas, whatever propositions, whatever projections and hope, faith and belief whatever the persuasive arguments and promises, it’s a monumental fuck-up.
 
So what do you think of the ECB’s fragmentation policy? Or their energy policy? just turn the lights out?
