Hope he loses every penny and his business gets taken over by a Remainer.Tim Martin is no oaf.
You could say that he was/is a man of the people as he voted with the (slim) majority of people to leave the E.U. A debate on which he should have remained silent.
I think he is honest in his beliefs even though he has been wrong on more than one occasion.
My advice to him is to stay out of politics and concentrate on his business.
A classic comment. It’s relevance to Brexit….?Tim Martin's post Brexit Land of Milk and Honey seems to be turning sour on him - never mind its the employee's I feel for not the oaf in charge
None other than a bit of schadenfreude seeing one of the Brexit cheerleaders having problems with his business due to Brexit amongst other things.A classic comment. It’s relevance to Brexit….?
Do you see this as a brexit bonus or a loss to the communities in which it operates?None other than a bit of schadenfreude seeing one of the Brexit cheerleaders having problems with his business due to Brexit amongst other things.
Are his pubs a nett gain or loss to communities?Do you see this as a brexit bonus or a loss to the communities in which it operates?

Depends if you think the average Wetherspoons brought much to the community bar a place for old pisspots to be able to have a full English and a pint at 10am.Do you see this as a brexit bonus or a loss to the communities in which it operates?
The 'thousands of real community pubs' are probably more under threat from the discount beer prices in supermarkets.Depends if you think the average Wetherspoons brought much to the community bar a place for old pisspots to be able to have a full English and a pint at 10am.
The thousands of real community pubs that have had to close over the years due to not being able to compete with Wetherspoons will be more of a miss I suspect.
Not withstanding the fact that Tim is a ****.
If the pubs are taken over and run by another company there's little difference.Do you see this as a brexit bonus or a loss to the communities in which it operates?
My point was it’s nothing at all to do with Brexit. A categorical mistake is arising as people blame brexit for everything.None other than a bit of schadenfreude seeing one of the Brexit cheerleaders having problems with his business due to Brexit amongst other things.
Agree it’s not a direct effect of Brexit. It’s more a consequence of government actions made much easier by not being in EU. I’m not sure if it counts as a Brexit benefit for the government to be totally free to screw up the economy as no EU rules apply. My point was it’s nothing at all to do with Brexit. Except, of course, that almost all the EU rules still apply!Agree it’s not a direct effect of Brexit. It’s more a consequence of government actions made much easier by not being in EU. A vent diagram sounds like an interesting idea at this pointThose continuing to think it was the right decision are definitely going to be the same people who will happily vote for the Tories next time around.
A vent diagram would make interesting (or not) viewing…
