Using the form guide:
In our last 5 matches we've picked up 9 points.
In Utd last 5 matches, they've picked up 13 points.

In the whole of the season our worst run of form was 8 points over 5 games. (That projection was be 9.6 points from our remaining games)
United's best run over the season was 13 points over 5 games would be 18.2). So Pep has to manage form because we are with the greatest of respects up against an irratic side that have lost as many times as us now.

Order of fixtures is below - United get their game in hand out the way whilst we have FA Cup.

18-04-21 Manchester UnitedvsBurnley
21-04-21 Aston VillavsManchester City
25-04-21 LeedsvsManchester United

(Potential CL and Europa semi's would see both fixtures move to Sunday)

01-05-21 Crystal PalacevsManchester City
01-05-21 Manchester UnitedvsLiverpool

(Potential CL and Europa semi's would see both fixtures move to Sunday)

08-05-21 Aston VillavsManchester United
08-05-21 Manchester CityvsChelsea

11-05-21 Manchester UnitedvsLeicester
12-05-21 Newcastle UnitedvsManchester City

(FA Cup final weekend)
15-05-21 Manchester UnitedvsFulham
15-05-21 BrightonvsManchester City

23-05-21 Wolverhampton WanderersvsManchester United
23-05-21 Manchester CityvsEverton

So looking at above - it's important to get points on board asap.

Coppell, Hutchison shoulder, Dibble, balloon, relegation after success, Steve Daly, Judas Kendal etc etc
It's certainly felt like it at times
Hutchison apart, all non-sequiturs to City blowing it (or not) on the big occasion. Unless you count losing to Sheffield United in the 4th round of the Cup as a big occasion.

Here’s a question for fellow blues, do you want the manager to go for an unprecedented quadruple, which means a considerable amount of rest and rotation is required, or do we sacrifice one or more of the cup competitions in order to virtually guarantee the league? I’m not overly impressed with the team selection yesterday but if we win the lot it will soon be forgotten.
If we win the quadruple it will barely get a mention

Sorry mate, I take it back, I got a potty mouth if I have a few.
I apologise unreservedly ;)

No probs. I've been an arse since we lost to Leeds. Don't normally get caught up in a defeat, all the sh*t that goes with it, and the trench warfare on BM afterwards. I was, and still am disappointed and frustrated with the defeat by Leeds. Need to get it out of my system.

Gundo and Foden played. Walker hasnt been first choice most of the year. Rordi, perhaps. Call it 3.5 then, between him and mahrez
Walker has absolutely been first choice for the majority of the year. Gundo and Foden played very little. We rested 7 players, don't act like we didn't just to be a smartarse

Do people really believe that this City team with Kev, Foden, Dias, Gundogan etc and with the greatest manager we have seen in the PL are going to throw an eight point advantage to Noddy and his clowns

Not a fucking chance
We could throw it away by making changes for the cup games, if we play all our remaining games with the players you've mentioned we wouldn't have a problem

How’s the fannywipe-meter in the Mods room faring?

Anyway enough of this thread for me for now, two big games to win over the next week before the Villa game. Hopefully a couple of wins to send us into that game full of confidence.

To be honest with you I was over it as soon as the final whistle went, I'm not the one for dwelling on results, was over it and was focused on Dortmund.
We weakened ourselves with our lineup and ran out of juice, Leeds are all action/all energy and sucker punched us. What I won't do is get mad at pep or the team as they have brought us so much this season and the last few.
These next couple of months will hopefully be belters mate.
You ready for it? :)

The sooner its won the better I dont want this to be anymore stressful than it is but I just have the niggling feeling that it is going to be.

The prem league will be having us play Saturday 12.30 after both semi final legs if we get there

Just the 10pts our goal diff is brill.
If the goal difference stays with us then if we only muster 8 points then Utd would have to win all their games to beat us !
ALL OF THEM !

ITS DONE !

I am going to bed tonight happy in the knowledge that thousands of deluded reds today have parted with £10 -£20 etc in the hope it may happen for them !!

I just wish I was a bookie !
