How should the season be decided?

Having thought a lot about this, I honestly do not see how this season can be completed fairly. It would mean that for all remaining fixtures, home teams would forfeit their home advantage, as matches will be played on neutral grounds with no fans. That gives an advantage to away teams, especially those who have already had the equivalent "home" fixture.

It is also a problem for 2020/2021, because it seems to me that we will be very lucky to get grounds open to the punters before February/March 2021 - once everyone has had a jab. It might well take longer, depending on on how quickly the vaccine becomes available.

But let's be honest - this is about money. They don't give a shiny shit about abstract concepts such as fairness, and still less about the fans. They also want LiVARpool to have the title at all costs.

You’re dead right, but ‘completed fairly’? It wasn’t even competed fairly when everything was fine!

Totally agree , the Premier league keep on going on about integrityof the game etc etc and yet we do not get the chance to smash the Dippers to pieces at the Etihad in front of over 50k baying supporters , the Dippers shat themselves last season , it was hilarious watching their players kicking the ball into touch for the first half hour , i thought we were playing St.Helens.

How Would You Like Your Season Decided ?

By a Bullseye darts match...…………………..

Here's what you could have won.

Should be null and void .. won’t be though.

I see Lyon are talking legal regarding how France decided the league.
Probably be the same here if it happens

Good for them.

As football is obviously big business these days, contract law must come into it. I bet nowhere does it say a league can unilaterally hand a title to anyone because of 'unforeseen circumstances'. I expect Lyon to win any case they bring.

Maybe the leagues are busily revising next season's contracts, so they are at liberty to end it however they want - if it comes to it again. Duckworth-Lewis, anyone?

Be ironic/very sweet if the dippers - who are so hot on the law and their precious 'rights' - are denied the league by.......the law.

Cancel season only way . Then every year they can have a day where they can remember this injustice and sing their anthem ?

I like to see the season end now, Liverpool and utd to be in championship we win fa cup and champs league
I can dream

Give the scousers the trophy it’s always gonna be tainted with a * they won’t beat any of our records, they won’t have the thrilling end to the season in front of their fans, they won’t beat our centurion season, it will be the biggest anti climax to sky and bt, and more importantly no footballers will be at risk, and the bus can be put back in the garage and no parade love it.
Even better, don’t give them anything and the rest of your post will still apply!

Everyone has ALWAYS given those toe rags everything they scream and whinge for. It's why they are like they are - I think it's called 'enabling'.

They are the first to wax lyrical about the 'sanctity of human life', yet they want to put all sorts of lives at risk, just so they can get their hands on a tin cup. Besides, I thought the Prem was a 'bauble'.....isn't the Champions League really where it's at?

Tellingly, I've not read one word from City fans whinging about wanting to resume the Champions League. You've a great chance of winning it this year, yet you've stayed silent. Real football fans won't forget that fact.
You are doing a good job ingratiating yourself with this forum for a new non-city fan poster. Keep it going mate, well said.

May 2020 , and Manchester City are STILL the Premier League Champions.
I have just had a thought, if the season is null and void and we win the 1920-21 season we will be the longest reigning EPL champions. In fact we will the 2nd longest reigning league champions club ever (Everton interestingly enough would be first owing to the fact they were champions for the duration of BOTH the First and Second World War).

Have the EPL considered that if they bring football back and a player catches the lurgy from another player , official or representative. . . . . .and dies.
Would this result in a massive corporate murder charge ?

I was thinking along those lines. If the season continues it will be a legal minefield. It won't exactly be straightforward if it's stopped now, but the repercussions from the scenario you paint would be absolutely catastrophic for the whole of football worldwide...

Still, as long as the thieving scousers get their own way, isn't that right, FA?

On the other hand if the dippers win the title in late june, providing they don't defend it. They will have the shortest champions reign ever.
Another stick to beat them with
