How would you like the season to be decided?

How should the season be decided?

I'm past caring but then again being a Toon fan I was passed caring 10 minutes after Fat Mike waddled through the door.

Hopefully it will be a different story soon :-)

A whole new chapter for you lot enjoy the ride .
Enjoy the hate .
And beware of teams in red

It could end with 22 or 23 teams in the PL next season. Those at the bottom currently are threatening to fuck over the restart at neutral grounds unless they guarantee no relegation. Just as we get the goons thinking about the congestion of fixtures caused by two domestic cups, 38 league fixtures, Uefa's much loved competitions, international breaks, along comes a scenario that will have 42 or 44 PL fixtures. But there again the brainboxes running the game might stick at 38 and we could have a situation where you don't play some teams twice. The odds on The Dippers and MANUre playing relegation fodder twice and Beswick only playing them once - and away at that? I think it would be short odds, but most probably odds on!

For the record I happen to think no relegation is a ridiculous idea. Then again everything these days seems ridiculous and 3 months ago none of us would have believed any of it. No matter what is decided there's some sets of fans won't be happy but hey, it's not the end of the world (as far as I'm concerned).

So if there is no relegation we would all be playing just for Liverpool to win the league? Oh and to get the Rags into the Champions league!
What a farce!

I would like to season to be decided by Cuppy Doubles.
2 players from each team.
At Wembley
1 net
40 players on the pitch at the same time
No offside, just not allowed to goal-hang
1 goal to go through
The last remaining team in the first 3 rounds relegated
Winners = Champions
No V.A.R
F*ck it...….I'll say I support Altrincham and go in net

How would those good folk at Candlefield feel if their quest for their first European Cup was sabotaged by playing all those Prem games squashed together (and knowing it'd only be for the benefit of their arch rivals to clinch the league)??

That's because the premier league doesn't give a fuck about anything but their product. The ideas of neutral grounds and even playing abroad are quite frankly "Trumpish"

Being such fair minded individuals I am sure that they would be only too happy to progress along those lines.

If the league resumes with no relegation at stake , then presumably there would be no title at stake either

In a fair world, yes. But we all know that they’re only concerned with making sure the dippers win the title. They don’t give a fcuk about anything else. They will play the 2 or 3 games they need to get the points, then say “Oh this neutral ground thing isn’t working. We’re gonna stop the league and give the dippers the title because no-one can catch them now’

I think it was Rodney Marsh who claimed he told Peter Swales that he would turn Manchester City from a silk pure into a sow's ear?

A very big part of me wants this whole charade to be played out, just to sit back and watch the Premier League implode from the backlash of empty stadiums for years to come.

At the moment, the sheer lack of sport and tedium has sections of society wanting something, anything.

When things do settle down in the next 18 months, hundreds of thousands of regular match going fans will discover there are then other things to do with their time and suit their reduced budgets, accordingly.

The anger and bitterness towards the game will cost football far longer than the immediate fix for its greed and corruption.

Call it off.

Give Liverpool the it's good but it's not Carling trophy.

Agree with your sentiment , but not sure how the Premier league can justify taking relegation off the table but continue with a title run-in , that would make a laughing stock of their "integrity" ,also the issue of the european places , UEFA want an answer by August , four champs league places and europa league places , are they going to draw straws ? Its becoming farcical , they should null & void and concentrate on getting 2020/21 season up and running in August behind closed doors , so its equal and fair for every club.

Neither the dippers or the rags have ever had to play under such strenuous conditions before, they'd never cope on a level playing field.
