He took Souness' struggling side and got them into the top 6. Signed players like Samba and Bentley for a pittance and turned them into players that were eventually sold on for huge fees.

Slate him for what he's done since by all means, but saying he didn't do a decent job at Blackburn is delusional and bitter.

Souness left a side that finished 6th in the Prem, Hughes finished 15th. Admittedly he went to finish 6th the season after but that was where Blackburn were in terms of their benchmark at the time.

Sorry he's won nothing and achieved nothing and shit all over our club.

The man is bad news and should think himself lucky if he gets to manage the dog and duck when he's fired from Rangers.

Someone please explain to me, how some consider Hughes a good manager? because looking at his stats, it shows someone who really is SHIT

QPR for example. He has not won away from home once yet. Shocking.
He has not won a game this season.
His Defence oragnisation and tactics were Shit when manage us,and isstill shit managing QPR

He buy players without any plan behind it, it seems. So he ends up with decent to good players but no TEAM. So all in all, Hughes cant build great teams like Mancini,SAF,Arsene,David.


Mark Hughes is one of the worst managers in and around PL. Please someone educate me on MH.

Wrong - Souness left a side that finished 15th in his last full season, 03-04. They were struggling like fuck at the start of the 04-05 season too before he left to take the Newcastle job and Hughes took over at Blackburn. Why do you think the Newcastle fans were so underwhelmed by his appointment?

I've found a QPR forum where some fans believe Hughes has destroyed the team spirit Warnock had with his players. There's a much echoed belief (having spoken to Blackburn and Fulham fans) about Hughes signing good players but not knowing what to do with them.

The season started in August and they still haven't won in the Premiership despite it being November. That's not good enough.

They'd only played 4 games before he left (2 points) including a draw in his last game against the rags.

Even so, they were third bottom and it was a continuation of the previous season's poor form that had seen them finish 15th (despite another poster peddling the blatant lie that they'd finished 6th)

I suppose Redknapp took over at Spurs in a similar predicament. They were doing really badly under Ramos and suddenly picked up some form on his arrival. Players are putting on a performance for their futures as a new Manager means new ideas means new players to fit in to those ideas. This squad of expensively assembled names just aren't getting the results.
