Hughes tactically Naive?

Flappity flap.

Ridiculous, knee jerk post.

10 games in, were 4th. Whats wrong with that?

Ireland has been poor so far this season, did nothing today when he should have been fighting for his place. Robbie has been injured for a while, dont under estimate how good he is and what he can offer. Ade was injured today and we had a player up front who has only done 90 mins once in about 6 months.

Clean sheet away from home, were doing ok. Not great, but ok.

The last bit of your post means that people are going to moan. Qhen things are going ok people expect more and rightly so when we know the team is capable of much better football than they've produced in recent weeks

I started writing this with 10 minutes to go and my opinion wont change with the result.

City are awful and are going nowhere under Hughes.

There are simply no excuses any more.

The players apparently have the 'winning attitude' but have been made to look very poor over the last month.

Today they have shown the footballing world that the City disease still thrives and is doing well.

I have mostly kept my opinions on the team to myself and have tried to remain positive saying that they needed time, Hughes needed time but I fear that the very best opportunity that City will have of achieving a top 4 finish (other teams dropping lots of points) will go begging because the manager lacks imagination, tactical nouse and the ability to motivate.

I like MH in truth, he has handled the pressure of being Citys manager really well but the outcomes/outputs from his tenure so far have been far from significant.

We all started this season expecting a nervous time as we were likely to keep pace with the big boys but I ahve sat nervously as City 'HELD OUT' for a draw against Birmingham, only doing so after a penalty save.

We are in the top 4 because of a remarkably poor season from so many other teams, Liverpool, Everton, Villa and Spurs amongst them.

I really dont look forward to a game against another big team and I expect Arsenal to more than pay us back come the Carling Cup game.

What positives can you give me for the last months games?

We beat Scunnie, wow! But even they scored and caused us problems.

Come on people, shout at me, call me a dick, call me a rag do your best but please give me good REASONS for being wrong.

The whistle has just gone and the result 0 - 0 thanks to Shay.

How many decent chances did Brum have? Possibly 4. Ho many for City None.

Jeeeeeesus I need a drink after that shocker.

Villa - Draw
Wigan - Draw
Fulham- Draw
Birmingham - Draw

Apart from the Arsenal result we have beaten Blackburn, Wolves, West Ham and Pompey in the league. Top four, dont make me laugh.

WOW !!! you type slow ;) Only joking mate

not a bad analysis although a bit unfair to say we had NO chances

ps

Top 4 with a game in hand, and we are going through a sticky patch as well!

Agree but not with the sticky patch. A sticky patch to me involves getting bugger all from matches where nothing goes right. Last year we would have lost that game. There are plenty of threads on this forum about creativity, but what about RESILIENCE. Repeat: last year we would have lost that game.

well, you see fbloke, I dont expect us to win every game in style, just lower your expectations a little and all will be well at the end of the season

Wow, I need to lower my expectations after the massive investment in talent.

Are the team playing for mid table safety!

We're playing for top 4. As in stands, we're 4th with a game in hand.

we threw the chance of a 4th slot and got a 4th slot..

a win would have put us in 4th.. so please chill the fuck out.

with 3 points above liverpool and a game in hand... A draw is nothing. Its not about position at this time, its about the points.

To be fair Ireland couldn't do much when the ball's being hooved over his head every time we get the ball..when he did slow down play we did look dangerous as we essentially won a penalty if not for the brum player getting injured, won a corner, and made space for Tevez to do one of his signature shots into the stands from outside the box.

Doesn't matter since as long as we don't lose away and can keep winning at home top 4 is always a possibility.

Spot on we are shit to watch, Hughes has spent the type of cash managers dream of but has he got us playing well? No.

Aren't you one of the people that wouldn't mind Robinho going aswell? People going on about Bellamy better than Robinho weeks ago don't understand that Bellamy is not good enough against teams like this as they aren't good enough to create chances for others with the ball at their feet

By the way this isn't just Bellamy i'm referring to just linking it to the numerous posts recently saying Bellamy vs Robinho. I like Bellamy but he's much better through the middle where he can use his pace rather than out wide

Re: Shout At Me All You Like But We Are Shit

the buck stops with mark hughes that match was awful why start with santa cruz clearly not match fit, why does he not give him arun of reserve games to build his fitness levels up.ireland and petrov should have started ,then bring santa cruz on the last 20 mins...
