Hyde United

Hyde were mentioned in The Sun today - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... -Hyde.html

By the look of some of the comments - it seems some rags can't even stand to see a club saved from extinction if it's with the help or City or it's fans. And to think, they refer to City fans as "bitter"? (crikey!) :)

nuneaton town; have been deducted 6pts.-see altrincham fc website;that should help you out at hyde. alty at home to hyde;next saturday 7th april 3pm k/o.

Nuneatons punishment seems a tad harsh, as they seem sure they had filed the correct papers at the right time. Makes the BSN a two horse race barring major slip up from Hyde and Guiseley.

Looking forward to the Alty v Hyde game next weekend (7th April for those interested) :)

While we were suffering at The Etihad at least Hyde & Maine Road FC were doing the business:

Colin Bell Level 1 Ent 131 - the video is of course my son's. He will be at Alty v Hyde with his camera. I'll be at Runcorn Town v Maine Road FC

The Dublin Branch were over for the weekend and my Wed night kickabout 'team' had a game against them yesterday with appropriate social afterwards. Alex has again captured in pretty well. Despite the Sunderland score you can tell a good time was had by all (note the superb bit of skill at 1.22!) -

Altrincham v Hyde FC Saturday 3pm at Alty (Moss Lane)

City season ticket holders (or any league club season ticket holder) can attend this game for £5 - you must take along your season card AND some ID

From the Alty site (you have to scroll down quite a bit) http://www.altrinchamfc.co.uk/alty1.htm
CLARIFICATION - SATURDAY'S ADMISSION PRICES
Some supporters have interpreted the statement issued by Altrincham FC Marketing Manager, Matt Royle, [and reproduced below] as meaning that Hyde FC fans get automatic cheap entry to Moss Lane on Saturday. This is NOT the case. Matt's statement is meant to indicate that any Hyde fan (or indeed Altrincham fans too), who possesses a valid Premiership or Football League season ticket in his or her name, and who presents ID to confirm this, can take advantage of the £5 entry offer. It does NOT mean that Hyde, or Altrincham, fans get entry for £5 without a season ticket from any of the 92 Premiership or League clubs. A sentence has been inserted below, in bold, to this effect.

Altrincham FC's Marketing Manager, Matt Royle, writes:

"Hyde come to Moss Lane on Easter Saturday - £5 entry promotion.

altrincham v hyde ;easter saturday 3pm kickoff. 5pounds for cityseasoncard holders 11/12 season.

Altrincham v Hyde FC Today 3pm at Alty (Moss Lane)

City season ticket holders (or any league club season ticket holder) can attend this game for £5

Just to confirm - if you want to take advantage, Alty advise to bring ID (no using a mates season card then ;)) and to use Turnstile 5 and 6 for the offer.

For all other fans wishing to watch this local derby - the adult price is £13.

Hyde need a decent result to push on for the title, while Alty need a good result to maintain their playoff push.

Hyde is at home today too - 3pm they are playing Solihull
Yes, they did

Hyde 3 Solihull 0

Guiseley (2nd place) also won - after being 2-0 at half time.

2points separate top 2 with three left to play.
