I don't get arena gigs

Quite interesting Prince when he played G-Mex which had a much worse reputation for acoustics than the train station arena absolutely fucking smashed it. Even though he was in his contract dispute with Sony it was one of the best gigs I’ve been to as was Simon and Garfunkel at the train station, I presume a lot depends on the sound engineers and mixers.
The one and only time I ever saw Prince live, absolutely amazing musician

Scale, innit? If Liam and Noel decided to reform Oasis with the What's the story line up, and decided to go on the road, I don't think the likes of the Apollo or the Brixton Academy would be on the list of venues somehow. The demand for tickets would be, er, "massive". They could easily sell out the new arena for ten nights.

I hate the MEN and the only decent gig I saw there was James a few years back,

I think Liverpool Arena and Leeds are fine. Seen some great gigs in Liverpool.

I think the co-op arena has been designed to hold as many as the MEN but be much better from a design and sound perspective. Time will tell. Hope so anyway as I’m off to see James and LG next year.

They’d sell out Wembley stadium for three nights at 105,000 tickets a night and sell 315,000 tickets in total rather than 235,000 tickets doing ten gigs at the Co-op.

I used the new arena for an example as the thread seemed to be about it. As for the number; I just plucked it out of thin air. I could have said 20, 30, whatever. The point is the same; that small, "intimate" venues would never be on a tour schedule for a tour with that demand.

I saw REM, Radiohead, Kylie and S Club 7 (don't ask..the things you do for love) amongst many others at the Nynex and they were all a lot of fun. Being old fucking sucks, just don't force it on everyone.

Just bought tickets for Liam Gallagher at the Co-op arena it holds twenty three thousand so not to big looking forward to it
Four nights all sold out in minuets
