Some people are just on day release from the local asylum.
the proof is in the pudding as they say ...ty sir i took some stick for my post ..but thanks alot dudeSabster said:Gareth Barry breaks up play better than De Jong so what is the point in him:
Tackles won
Barry: 91
De Jong: 69
Tackles Lost
Barry: 22
De Jong: 27
Fouls Conceded
Barry: 64
De Jong: 44
Yellow Cards
Barry: 4
De Jong: 7
These last two stats, show that Barry is clearly the far more canny footballer, as he breaks up play (concedes a foul) far more ofter than De Jong but also far more subtly so he doesn't receive a yellow card.
Fouls Won
Barry: 56
De Jong: 44
You can not argue with these stats, they clearly show Gareth Barry is far better at breaking up the play than NDJ. And with that being true, in what way is NDJ better than Barry?? None whatsoever

The dim are often deluded to the extent that they think they are so right when in reality they are as wrong as wrong can be!mcfc1632 said:Re your response to my point - Sorry - this only reafirms my view - if you think that de jong is anything less than vital in every one of the tough games that we will play this season - you actually are just pig ignorant about moden foorball (don't worry lots of fans of various clubs are - and loads of journos) - as I said - it does not make you a bad peron - just one that knows fuck all about modern football - relax - thankfully our manager does - so just enjoy that

I do not see though how these stats can be construed in any other way, the only other things I can think that could affect Nigel's ability are Interceptions and Distance Covered, unfortunately there are no stats available for these things. However on bith accounts I think GB would come out on top.

I am prepared to guarantee you that Mancini will chose Barry over De Jong
It is amazing that any team wins anything without de Jong in their team, as he is so abosultely essential. Not one big team in the world has a player so one dimensional as De Jong and yet is not even that great at breaking up play.
The team in which he played did OK, I didn't see him pulling up any trees, embarrassed his nation with his Kung Fu fuck buddy Van Bumell!vamps said:NDJ didn't do THAT bad during the world cup... I rest my case.

Really? thanks - so in front of the Bluemoon community I will take that on board and (allowing for some calculations for injuries) I will have a pint with you for every game difference that they play - is that agreed?

Simply because the statistics do not provide any sort of regression; that is, their importance to the game isn't listed in any way. I would bet a small fortune that De Jong's tackles were far more important/broke down the opposition more than Barry's did.
