Ian Cheeseman vlog v Newcastle

Ian Cheeseman’s vlogs are invariably a good watch; he’s able to connect with fans and insiders equally easily, and always seems able to track down Dennis Tueart or Mark Lillis for a natter. Kenny Clements on a recent vlog looks like he hasn’t aged a bit. Ian C’s also willing to give overseas fans or first-timers an airing as well as FOCs, which is warm and generous given his home-and-away, through-thick-and-thin record. His ‘Park the Bus’ at The Swamp vlog was a classic. His Leicester away this season got a great take of away-end atmosphere.

The podcasts need a bit more editing, but at least they’re his, and not Patreon-approved Big Media boilerplate content, like some I could mention.

It’s a farce that PL rules state a certain section of away fans must be pitch side but somehow Newcastle and the Rags (shock) have somehow got a waiver for that.

“A group of half wits talking shite”, is a fucking shite comment about loyal City fans, reminds me of some smug journalist commenting when Oasis won an Ivor Novello award for What’s the Story, “if only Noel had read a book” - if he had he might have been a pretentious **** too
As much as agree with the first bit, NG is a pretentious ****.

Same as the rags and the cult getting away with the PL rule about having a big screen in their ground. Might get in the way of squeezing in a few more tourists, plastics and daytrippers

I quite like Cheesy’s vlog but his podcast is insufferable.

Every week it’s just a group of half wits talking shite.

“Errrr ya no wot like, wot we need yeh is to get a proppa strikoh, sum one lyke Paul Dickov yeh but like modern like”

An hour of scintillating conversation among those lines.

Surely with the contacts he’s made over the years he can get a better calibre of guests.

93:20 is streets ahead in actually having intelligent discussions around City.
Totally agree. Love the Vlog but I can’t listen to the podcast ,it’s just not for me, especially after listening to 93:20 and Noisy Neighbours. The main contributors don’t really bring anything to the table in my opinion, it’s the same waffle each week . It might be for some peoples liking but it’s a poor podcast for me

It's not about Cheesy it's about City and the fans. Why do people have to make mean-spirited comments?
Seems like most people enjoy his vlogs and some enjoy his podcasts?

I‘m in the like his vlogs and tried his podcast and didn’t enjoy it camp.

I‘ve got nothing against Cheesy. He’s hugely passionate about City. So are his people on his vlogs and podcast.

I just don’t find it entertaining nor informative, so look elsewhere.

I hope it continues to be as successful as it can be.

Yeah have to say I’ve listened to it for a while, but found I’m getting exasperated with some of the contributors, which are starting to grate with me … a couple of weeks ago there was a parallel being drawn with controlling a football team and kids in a nursery

this is not being mean spirited.. fair play to all contributors…it’s just not my cup of tea, and I find I’m losing interest for other podcasts that are more engaging
