Has anyone tried the Insanity weights DVD add on?

Downloaded it a while ago but not tried it yet

If you mean the upperbody workout, then yes. It is really good, not easy though as he throws cardio in there as well. If I remember correctly it's about 45 minutes long.

I know of a few people that have done this Insanity workout and it has worked wonders, I thought it was going to be one of these over hyped american 'lose 5 stone in 5 weeks' kinda thing at first. Turns out that following the programme actually works, for once.

Yeah that's the one. Was thinking of doing it over the next few weeks and alternating with the plyometric one.

Got some strong resistance bands the other day so just getting used to those first.

Upper Body Weight Training. You need an incline bench mate. It's circuit training like the rest of Insanity. Think you'll like it! :)
There's also another extra called Max Interval Sports Training. I expect its a good precursor to Asylum.

i have not done the workout but have it.... I am not obese but i carry a few pounds. I do a fair bit of running and done 3 marathons this year... I dont seem to shift much weight as running doesn't after a while of which i am fully aware. I like feeling good like the next man but i do like a pint... dont drink a lot and go for a few in the local once a week for catch up with mates etc. I am fond of the odd sweet thing to eat but with my running i have been known to cut nearly 95% of the the sweets, biscuits etc when have a marathon coming up.... My thing with this work out for those that have done it did you change your diet totally for the whole time, kick the booze and everything? I am fully aware with fitness that there is no time to start like now... Although beer drinking season and eating endless amounts or Roses and celebrations is upon us. I get it to get full results just eat healthy etc etc but did you do the whole hog or just did the workouts and still indulge a little ?

Everything in moderation is the key

I've wondered about this for a long time now, to the people who have done cardio abs: the very last exercise when it looks like your are thrusting during sex, is it just me that feels absolutely nothing in the abs, but it absolutely kills the upper arms, between the biceps and shoulder?? I don't think my form is wrong!

Haha. Do you use your core during sex since you started Insanity? I sure do!
To answer your question - it does make the arms ache, but generally the workout is improving your core strength so it's all good.
