Insanity work-out

Started T 25 beta this week. Noticed the step up right away. Beta is adding the weights and pretty much every session spends time on your mid section.

So far have lost around 10 pounds on Focus T25, stomach is getting flatter and there is much more definition in my arms legs and neck. And I need a new wardrobe, my work suits wrap around me now and make me look a bit like a child playing at being grown up, and the belts on my jeans and pants are round so tight that the pants themselves are just getting bunched up and look ridiculous. Still waiting for the 6 pack though.

Great work, that's exactly the same results as i got to be honest, if you're looking for the 6 pack you'll need to put in additional work though i'm afraid.

I found the programme put strength in the core but doesn't concentrate on it enough to get the results you're looking for, but that's just my opinion.

You want visible abs? then concentrate on your diet.

How so? Currently I'm on around 1500-1600 cals a day, pretty much a hybrid of the Insanity / Focus T 25 diet meal plans of 300 cals x 5 a day with concentration on extra protein, one meal of which is a Maximuscle shake (usually mornings). Should I be doing something extra? If so I may be tempted to leave it until I have lost a few more pounds. Cheers for any advice.

I think you've slightly mis-understood what FI is saying mate, you can do all the mid-section exercises under the sun, but if you don't have the diet nailed to show them off then nobody will ever notice them, it pretty much accounts for 90%, we've all got abs, most people's are just covered with a blanket (or a few winter duvet's) of flab, just keep plugging away as you are on a calorie deficit and you'll get there.

That's really good to read, thanks :). Hopefully am on the right track then, I've read before about there being no point in expecting abs before stomach shrinkage, hence the desire to concentrate on losing pounds first. But I have to admit I am getting tempted now by the ads for that Body Beast, looks immense but have to decide if it is what I ultimately want. Imagine that kind of muscle would take some serious upkeep, not decided on whether I want that kind of thing, May just be happy with lean definition as my general goal.

Looks challenging, but as I say I need to lose it before I even think of adding the 'promised' 10lbs of muscle.
