this is a point some of us have been saying about the situation!

some all so have assumptions that this is all city and not what Ireland wanted how do we know this concerning the training?

they don't want the player to go big difference.

If they dont want him to go, don't fckin negotiate the transfer. Millner and his agent might want the move, but he is contracted to Villa, they don't have to sell. And Millner has made it clear, he'd ideally like to join City, but is professional enough to also note, that he is also happy to stay at Villa if it doesnt materialise. And your point fails to acknowledge the original point. Which was about if he is likely to go, why allow him equally to train and know/learn tactics?

one club runs different to another villa all so managerless, there is a difference whether you want to see that or not mate,i will look at both sides not just the one side like you seem to be doing.

A big difference is Milner wanted to leave and was outstanding when played, Ireland wants to stay but the evidence (eg. pre season) is that he doesn't add to our team and we can't afford to wait for him.

He's only not part of the first team squad because city want him to move as part of the Millner deal. He would have been considered as part of the squad had that transfer not been approached. Unless someone came and bid for him. So that surely applies to Millner, who if Villa are willing to sell, isnt part of their first team squad plans for the season either?

The difference is. Villa and Millner are both professional.

No, the difference is that Milner IS part of the Villa 1st team squad at the moment.
He scored for tham at the weekend or had you not noticed? Until he's sold he's in their 1st team. Ireland isn't in ours whether he's sold or not.

You highlight the point I made myself. The reason he is, is because Villa and Millner are more professional than we are regarding the issue. Ireland is good enough and would have been certainly involved in first team training for fck sake had he not stalled over the move to Villa.

To be perfectly honest, that fact that Mancini acquiesced to Stevie training with the reserves is as sad as anything else in this entire episode. As a footballing man, and someone who's supposed to have a modicum of class about him, he should have seen that punishing someone for not moving to a managerless club is a classless act...

It is not a classless act, far from it,It's Business and to succeed you have to be tough. As I said I can have sympathy for Ireland, lots of it, however that does not surpass the considerations of the club. It's tough but there's two things you can be certain of.
1. Ireland aint ever going to be a pauper (unless he's acomplete idiot - which I don't think he is).
2. He will have a future in the Prem, so good luck to him (and I mean that)!

your looking at it so one sided its unreal villa need milner whilst no decent replacement but we don't need Ireland!

No Im not looking at it so one sided. I am one of the very few on here who isnt masturbating over Mancini nor wiping his arse on a daily basis. I could well and truly expose some of the fickleness and self deception on part of some of you on here on a daily basis, but cant be arsed. 'We don't need Ireland'? The issue I responded to was about 'why allow him to train when he is likely to move and know our tactics' and how that is the same for Millner.

Interesting how I seem to highlight your point with a completely different one. I don't think you interpret text very well. Ireland is not good enough for this squad or he'd be part of our plans for the season which he isn't. He looked for a brief time like he could step up but it was a false dawn. Milner is just about Villa's best player. They don't want him gone but can't afford to keep him. Until he's gone he will be in their 1st team. Ireland isn't good enough for ours and has consistantly proved this over the last year and in pre-season this year. He hasn't stepped up. Shame, I was rooting for the guy but the truth sometimes hurts.

so here is your main problem in this then?

i still have to pass my own judgment on mancini so don't pass me off as some kind of arse wiper as you put it.

people have all ready put another view on why milner is still training in the first team and my Ireland is not but for some reason you want not to see that these reason could be viable?
