Villa player arrested in training

Isaiah Osbourne was arrested at the club training ground
A midfielder at Aston Villa Football Club has been arrested during training on suspicion of conspiracy to rob.

Isaiah Osbourne, from Birmingham, was arrested at the club's training ground in Bodymoor Heath, Warwickshire, at about 1030 BST on 2 October.

West Midlands police said the 21-year-old player had been bailed pending further inquiries. They are not looking for anyone else over the incident.

The club said it was aware of the arrest but made no further comment.

Rumour is Ireland said something to upset our owner Prince Mansour when the team was out there last pre season.

Villa fans are cock-a-hoop with his comments;

calling it the best new-player interview in living memory, wow, what a lot of sense this kid has, most footballers just tick the boxes and say nothing.

what can you say? it's what he's always done? he knows how to massage the fans and make the right noises, whenever a manger leaves or the club underperforms, he always says something that appears to show he's on top of it.... after the second or third time it starts to seem as though he's contradicting himself, and eventually it becomes a stick to beat him with.

keep your mouth shut Stephen, forget 'building a relationship with the fans'.

you know it makes sense!

So you are happy with Stevie not caring if we won or lost last season?
You think its fine that he came off the bench against the rags not caring, which ultimately led to us losing?
And then you complain when your accused of being a rag and not a proper City fan?
Im sorry but its a real struggle to understand where your coming from at all here!

This is my last comment on this thread (and hopefully about Ireland full stop on Bluemoon) - what I know and what has been publicized are two different things. This isn't about Mancini, or Hughes, or 442, or whatever else you may think it's about. His gripes run deep, and it isn't my place to explain them. Neither do I need to defend what he said. I understand why he said it and I'm sure in the fullness of time the truth will out...

Anyway, like CTID has just said, Ireland was the past, lets concentrate on the future...
What , like Stevie prefers Wittgenstein whilst Cook prefers John Stuart Mill ; Irelands a positivist while Khaldoon is a consequentialist? Or is Stevie just being an Emanuel Kant?
Sorry but if his gripes run deep wtf is he doing being a pro footballer?
Loved the lad , his touch , vision etc but there does seem a streak of idiosyncrasy running through his veins and in a highly competitive team sport it ain´t gonna win you the type of battles we´ll be involved in week in week out in order to achieve what is expected of us.
I wish him the best and would applaud if I were able to attend but "gripes running deep" frankly has me scratching my fookin head?

Not heard exactly what Ireland has said as I'm still over in Romania, however, the guy has had 3/s of a good season in 5, so he gets filed with the likes of Edgehill in our history.

Show off.

;)

Haha, no mate, just not sure what the guy has actually said!
What got me though was he said re milner you will not be guaranteed first team football, but NO player should be, u should earn your right to play. Ireland hasn't earned his right to play
