Is it true Aguero can't be banned? (Update P43)

Re: Is it true Aguero can't be banned?

Aguero will be banned for 3 matches and, putting aside all City related bias, you really can't argue with that. It was late, it was 2 footed, and he knew what he was doing. A shame really as it's completely out of character for him. At least the 3 match ban won't involve the Final, even if he isn't banned in time for Wigan on Wednesday it'll still be over before we play them again at Wembley.

Somethign that seems to be being completely glossed over in the media attanetion is the catalyst for Aguero's lunge, Luiz quite clearly throws an elbow into Aguero's chest, and it clearly hits him. There's no excusing Aguero's response, and he deserves to be punished for it, but if we're using "trial by TV" for retrospective punishment then Foy simply HAS to also retrospectively punish Luiz. He threw an elbow, it's as clear as day on the replay that's what he did. Intentionally aiming an elbow at an opponent is a red card offence.

Of course your right two wrongs don't make a right, so I hope they don't punish luiz to much ?

Just had a look at it again. Don't think Luiz would have too much of a problem with what he did to be honest.

Me neither, maybe we've become desensitised to that kind of challenge though, who knows ?

Funny how the morality squad are quick to slaughter one of their own players but then rip into people who question such matters as poor tactics and form.

Not saying what Kun did was right, but only City fans could slag off their own.

Not many people actually slagging him off. He had a rush of blood to the head and was wrong. No one has called him a **** or anything, you cant defend the indefensible

I don't think there are too many "slagging him off", but there is a sensible understanding that what he did was wrong and that, in all likelihood, he'll be punished for it, which is probably the right call by the FA.
