I agree with you richfan.

I am not convinced though by any arguement provided by his doubters on here ( who have increased tenfold overnight) that their is a better alternative.
The two names being banded around most frequently are Pep and Jose and both are oustanding Football Managers but they wouldn't be certainties to bring success overnight.
Pep only knows the one Club and is a very inexperienced Manager who was blessed from day one with an exceptional group of players and Jose seems to hit a Wall as he moves into his third Season amongst other, more celebrated issues.
For what Mancini has done with us and with his previous clubs in Italy he certainly should be regarded as being of the same stature. If you read the Forum today you would think we had a former United Player (Bruce,Keane,Robson) in charge.
He hasn't become a bad Manager overnight. Our players - and just look at the spine of the side -; Hart, Vinny,Yaya,Silva, Aguero all would be welcome at any side in the World. They haven't become bad players overnight either.
Hopefully our owners and our new executive team will allow him the time to adress the problems we face and for me that would include another stab at Europe.
This viewpoint by the way is born from a standpoint of Stability and not Sentiment. Let United and Arsenal and Chelsea be disruprted in the search for new Managers not us.
Pam, with the greatest respect, it is my reluctant duty to inform you that Murray Mints are not and never have been black and white and therefore are an inappropriate soubriquet for the Toon. Everton mints on the other hand....Pam said:You all know its too early for this flapping. Disappointing first half of the season but luckily, this City team are no surrender monkeys. Unlike certain Blue Mooners. Think WBA, Norwich, Wolves, Rag U, Murray Mints and QPR. Six wins needed to win the league. Six victories.

Lets not forget about Pep's record with the Barca B team , he was also brave enough to carry out a massive shake up in Barcelona selling the likes of Etoo , Ronaldinho and Deco (All in one season) and yet he was able to win the title that same season . It was under Pep that messi flourished , It was also under Pep that Busquets got promoted from Barca B and he brought an average pique into the Barcelona team and brought out the best in both of them , Lets also remember that under rijkaard Xavi was rarely used but when Pep came in he brought out the best in Xavi . The fact that he has only coached in one club doesn't make him inexperienced after all Mou started somewhere , same with Bobby . Pep has the tactics and titles to show .
In reality the same could certainly be said for Khaldoon, Begiristain, Soriano and Marwood as well. Whilst they are at the club though I think it means quite a lot to them all for the club to do well. Even Sheik Mansour, apart from that he has a lot of money invested in the club, the club itself means next to f**k all to him, he only found it a few years ago.FantasyIreland said:in reality this club means very little to the manager or the vast majority of the players, they are employees and are being rewarded as such beyond all rationality.
