We have gone backwards, no question.

Certain players don't look fit or particularly interested to me. Kompany and Toure for starters.

Someone else on a different thread made a good point about players possibly feeling let down by the poor transfer window. Could be something in this. We should have kicked on, we didn't.

Yes, they were gutted that no one of great quality was brought in to take their jobs...

Just joking, after all, you're so obviously correct in your inference that we lost today because of Marwood.

Meanwhile, exactly who is Angelo Gregucci?

in a tough group is not an excuse
if you can think this way, other teams' supporters can think this way too.
But fortunately their team performed well, city didn't.

how is a group with madrid, dortmund and ajax not an excuse. Hardest group in the champions league
So?????? Did Ajax or Dortmund fans use that as an excuse???
As you scared of the opponents they scared of us too
but what now? they have their 3 points and you still here finding excuses for mancini
If you think that because it's a tough group then it's ok to give up or get eliminated...then they should never play in CL again...there are no weak teams in CL. That's what CHAMPIONS stands for!

so what.... cant deny its not a tough group which it is. nobody has given up theyve just played better than us.

You base your assertions on wishful thinking and idle speculation, Mancini is the Man, stability in management is the way forward for our club not knee jerk reaction to a minor blip in our forward momentum

Yes, wishful thinking. I suppose we have a few FACTS to look at from my "wishful thinking"

Mancini:

Three Inter titles on the trot, failure in Europe each year he was in charge.

Mourinho:

Retained title and got to the first knockout round of CL in first year at Inter.
Retained title, won Coppa Italia, and won the Uefa Champions League in his SECOND YEAR.

But hey, we need stability, just like Inter did. If the entire financial stakes of the club, and its ability to grow didn't hinge on decent runs in the CL (NO I DIDN'T SAY "WIN"), then I'd be totally in agreement with you.... but unfortunately you're being small minded.

Anyone happy with winning the league year in and year out. Fantastic, I'm cool with that as well. Problem is, that's not the goal for the man who has invested more than everyone on this forum will make collectively in their entire lives. Its not fucking rocket science.

Yer but there's only one Jose and at the moment he's busy with a bigger club than us, so your theory is caput, because only Jose could improve our positition short term. Anyone else would take time and no doubt more money. I would give Mancini another go next year.

Win the premier league every year (Can they do that???) and get kick out from group stage of CL every year
Is that what you want?

What country do you live in?
USA

What makes you think anybody gives a ----- about a Yank's opinion when you describe City as "they"?

You are a rag. Confession will be good for you.

Re: Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the clubs

I haven't read through the whole thread so apologies if this is off topic, but what an overreaction. Yes, we have underperformed badly in Europe and this is very frustrating, but we just won the league last year and the FA cup the year before that.

My memory's a bit iffy, but wasn't it after the Dortmund game (or was it Madrid) when Mancini said that he knew what was wrong, and that he would fix it? Any time you're ready Bob.
He said it after Dortmund he knew what the problem was.Still hasnt sorted it.But i still trust Mancini, The media would love it if we sacked him.

And, regardless of whether you believe Mancini is on borrowed time/warming the seat for Mourinho, he appeared utterly dejected after the game. For me, his substitutions looked a bit desperate. All four strikers on the pitch at the end. He didn't even do this against QPR.

The club wouldn't have given him a 5-year contract if he was on 'borrowed time', it'd cost more to sack him than signing Eden Hazard would have just about.

His compensation for a sacking would be on a sliding scale, so sacking him early would be more costly but he wouldn't get the full five years of pay.

Not particularly saying he is on borrowed time anyway, but he did look unusually down after the match. Also, there were stories about him possibly wanting to leave in the summer in any case. Perhaps he feels let down by the transfer window, or regrets staying on. Don't know what it is, but the whole atmosphere around the team hasn't looked right so far this season to me.

Hey goshogun......what time is it in China...????

U sirry fuckin idirot......

I'll take winning the league every year thanks, or " local " league as you call it.

If we win it every year and you beat part timers in the CL then get knocked out against the first decent team you play then I think most City fans would snatch your hand off......

In fact..... if you persist with your nonsense I think most city fans would gladly snap your fuckin neck u rag prick.
Sure if that's what you want

Btw i am not from China so i dont know what time is it there
why don't you google it

based on what ??

When was the last time he even acknowledged one of his subs? He just appears so distant around his players, there seems to be no emotion whatsoever.
