Would still need to sell a striker and get a winger for me mate for the squad to be as balanced as possible.

Don't know about names but rather than go for two players in Villa and Walcott, I'd go for a quick winger with two good feet and flexibility that enables him to play up front/10 if required.

Not many of those around though... but Pedro would be nice!

Over rated imo.

Massively.
Reasonable player but nothing special, a slight improvement on Bojan Krkic, who went to Roma.
Think Messi, Xavi and Iniesta would make an average player look good.

I don't think he's overrated at all... quote the opposite actually. Unfortunately for him, he's playing alongside the best footballer ever to exist, and his role in Barcelona will away be a subordinate one. he is not allowed to make things happen for himself, everything needs to go through Messi.

I've seen him play many many times on tv, but more significant at two occasions live, and the kind of movement he has down both wings is exactly what we need. Plus the fact that he has pace, an enormous work engine, is equally adept with both feet and is actually a really good finisher makes him perfect for us.

But he's been getting more playing time this season so I doubt he'd be available.

a slight improvement on Bojan Krkic

Oh c'mon mate... that's just mean. Krkic absolutely sucks!!

Besides Isco, La Liga has so many cheap and talented midfielders any squad could use:

Koke, Benat, Borja Valero, Jonathan Dos Santos, (Muniain), Ander Herrera, Ever Banega, Sergio Canales or Jonathan Viera.

Wonder why, after Fabregas, Cazorla, Mata, Silva, Arteta and Aguero, Premier League teams are still reluctant on buying into mid-table Spanish clubs which have huge talent pool (as proves the performance of Valencia,Malaga, Atlético, Athletic and Sevilla in European Cups in the last seasons) but a bad financial situation.

Pretty much this, was going to make a thread on it but just look at Spanish midfielders that have moved here from la liga in the past few years or Spanish midfielders in general: michu is amazing and bagged the most goals out of every midfielder in la liga last year and his finishing ams positioning for the swans has been great. Silva and Mata are other great examples along with cesc and cazorla

So for ppl saying bust... stop the record for Spanish midfielders in this league is excellent and he'll be great if he moves here

Really hope we get him in jan, even if we have to loan him back till summer as has been suggested on here

He will become a great player, loan till summer will do him good too, hopefully we can get rid of nasri and bring this guy in.

The only thing I worry about is that Mancini will sign Isco and turn him into Nasri.
Unless it is Nasri who is limiting himself to the runs, goals and assists he used to get.

Isco looks very talented and of course we should be signing the best of the best around Europe but until there is a slot for him to play week in week out there is no point buying him.

Nasri is a coward, IMO, and that's what limits him.

Well I agree with you that Nasri is a coward, but was he at Arsenal? FFS Nasri get it together and show your Arsenal form, if not the get sold in Jan.

nasri had a 3 month spell at le arse and looked like world beater - he was playing through the middle though. otherwise he was stuck out wide and was doing exactly the same shit he's doing here.
the bloke is a charlatan.

don't know about being a charlatan. But you are correct, he is 200% the player if he plays centrally... even as a deeper laying playmaker, á la Xavi (but not at the same level though).
In fact, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Guardiola, hypothetically as a manager of our current squad, would play him in exactly that position.

Nasri and Isco could be our Xavi and Iniesta. :)
