Isco

Isco is obviously really good right now but I'm surprised by how many people think he will genuinely massively change our team. He's not been around for long and he's not even made the impact Hazard did for Lille. Alexis Sanchez was like this.

Rather be adding his fee to 20m and going all out for Cavani a proven world class striker

No impact? Blimey.
I can only assume you didn't notice Malaga get 4th place in Spain in 2011/12 season (with half the team being sold underneath Pellegrini) or notice Malaga get to the CL quarter finals this season and only be a minute away from a semi-final appearance...
good point and throw into the mix the management link up and it looks rosy to me.

My personal opinion for a while has been he'll either stay at Barca or go to the rags. So i don't like this report :(
If we get Isco on top of what we've already brought in, and buy a striker or at least keep the ones we have, it will be a window well spent. Nobody can expect United to not buy a big name, the Glazer's will want to be seen to back their man, but it's what we do that counts. Adding Thiago and that unknown kid they've bought isn't going to be enough to deal with what we have, should our transfers come off, so we will be going into the season stronger than them. They will also be under pressure if Moyes fucks his first 5 games up, with the press applying pressure regarding Ferguson's influence or of course the inevitable reports of him returning to replace Moyes. If Pellegrini gets off to a flier, we're laughing.

I think Moyes will do ok in the league,it's the CL where I think he'll fail miserably.
Yeah I'm with you on this one. Rags won't disappear from the league and will definitely be right up there with us and Chelsea. However in the CL I can't see them doing very good with him. He has no experience there and add to that, that teams like Madrid,Barcelona and Bayern are incredibly strong.

On topic, I really hope we sign him sooner, I want to have a disco already!

Or skepticism.

No, my use of the word is valid. Madrid do nothing without an ulterior motive. Politics are always in play.

If a name is leaked, invariably, it is to apply pressure on a player or a club.

I'm interested to know how you appear to be aware of transfer policy and internal politics at Real Madrid?
Its opinion based.. don't get sarcastic

Not long now.

The flappers can move to the Cavani thread instead.

What's your opinion of where we are at with Cavani? I know you've been confident before.

Is that an informed statement or based merely on the fact that the final is tonight and u think he will decide straight after it?

I think we are at a crossroads. A do or die stage between now and a few weeks. I expect Bayern to come to the fold if Lewandowski is kept.

I am fearful we will miss out on him to be honest. Dzeko was my hope to go there. Him not going has made things more difficult.

Demaio is a really good alternative and much cheaper and easier coup.

-- Tue Jun 18, 2013 3:59 pm --

It's done as far as I'm concerned. I don't think for a minute we wouldn't have been linked with alternatives, thrown out articles etc if we had missed on him.

I'm 100% sure it is done. A slightly informed opinion but common sense based too. Cavani is a worry, Isco is wearing blue. That's simple from where I am.

I don't think Cavani is going anywhere. Napoli are in a good position and don't need to sell. He seems to genuinely love Napoli which is fair, and could end up with 200+ goals there.

Add to that, it doesn't look like anybody is willing to cough up the £52m it would take.

Becoming less and less concerned about Isco though
