Isco

I thought this boy was amazing last night-first time I really have watched him whilst at Madrid.

If we don't get Reus then why not Isco on the left?

He was absolutely superb last night and its the best ive seen him play in a Madrid shirt

Still pains me that we missed out on him, he would have eclipsed Silva as our best player IMO

I think we should have paid €10m in agent fees, yes that is alot but he is going to be worth it, only 22 years old. Missed on Hazard also because of agent fees.

Dont buy that. We did spend £50m on junk in 2012. £32m on Hazard + agent fee would have been less than £50m we spent on junk..

I don't think so tbh, I think the club find being ripped off by agents objectionable and don't want to make a habit of it.

Maybe at the time we didn't know how poor signings there would be bit to be fair Garcia did well second half of the season when we took back the premier league from the scum, so if not for ffp we would of still bought those player plus Hazzard and isco..

I know the agents fees were a joke but didn't the deal only come to about £30M anyway?

If we had any plans on taking him off Madrid anytime soon i reckon he would cost a bit more than that

The last few seasons we have bought quite a few players in during the summer transfer windows but how many of them have been top quality? You can only put that down to FFP as we are clearly trying to get more bang for our buck

Hopefully now we are clear of FFP we can look at bringing in some real top quality next summer, i think its needed to take us to the next level

Isco for Nasri - Sorry Nasri lovers
Reus - not sure if we'd get them both
Pogba or Barklay for Yayas replacement-even both as Franks going.
Dzeko - really love the guy but if a world class striker came along on a better level would you swap.?

Without sounding like im playing FIFA or Football Manager, as i don't play either

We really need to look at bringing in 2 or 3 top quality players, its not a myth that our squad is getting older and i think it does need a bit of a shake up

If we want to play the high line pressing game then we need players that can play that way, 3 of the back 4 can do it (Zaba, VK, Mangala) but we need a LB that can play that way

The two Ferns can play that way but thats where it ends for me, and considering you defend from the front i see that as a problem. Aguero can do it but we are still 2 or 3 first team players away from being able to do it all over the pitch, as well as having the quality when we have the ball

I would love either Isco or Reus, and I can see Barkley being target number 1 as he has great potential and he is English and homegrown

I love Dzeko and Nasri but there is going to come a point where we need to look to the future and at what we want to achieve and unfortunately those two will only ever be squad players if the likes of Reus and Barkley come in

Big summer next summer I think

I'd love Isco at the club. Turning into a top quality player at Madrid, but they'll be looking for a new shiny toy soon so it wouldnt surprise me if they'd sell.

Unless Real Madrid buy another big name attacking midfielder like Reus, it probably won't happen. They have 3 players (Isco, Bale, James) currently competing for 2 roles, so it'd leave them with a serious lack of cover. Whenever someone gets injured or is rested, Isco steps in and recently has taken his chance well in Bale's absence.

Would love to see these come to City,

How about Ibra for a season for Dzeko, he'd be a beast in the league and be great to see him and Aguero, or Jovetic, or Iheanacho start up front together. He'd even be great on his own with a support of Reus, Milner and Silva.

It seems City's chance to sign Isco has come and gone. He is playing too well for Madrid to sell him and like Love City said, selling Isco would leave them a little short in attack. They were able to sell Ozil and Di Maria because Isco and James were solid replacements that were younger.

If Madrid were to sign another great attacker this summer, you would think that someone would angle for a move away from Madrid due to the lack of playing time.

As an aside, I think Illarramendi could leave Madrid due to a lack of playing time. City doesn't really need a DM but if he is cheap he could be a good signing long term.
