Hazard, Van Persie, Javi Martinez, I shall still keep the faith until we actually hear otherwise!

If those three arrive this summer my mind will be truly blown.

Count me IN

Hazard, RVP and Martinez? You lot should be doing cartwheels. You ungrateful twats.
On the contrary maybe you are a little disrespectful of the players who we already have

I am still doing cartwheels about where we are now. We seem to be fighting last years transfer wars. We have moved on surely?

If you don't think the 3 players mentioned will strengthen us, then there's no hope for you.
OK. Well if RVP comes at 29 with a dodgy injury record, and replaces younger Champions who score 20 plus a season every season rather than 20 plus once a career I will be gutted.

Every buy is at the expense of an existing player. And our players are the best. Collectively they have a lot more to give. AJ has got it in him to destroy the Premiership next season. Aguero will be even better. I get the feeling that RVP has just had his best ever season, at the centre of Arsenal, and will never repeat it again.

It wouldn't if we lost YaYa, Kun and Silva - No I'm not expecting that - but all things being equal it should. However, I'm not sure it is ungrateful not to rate one or more of those targets as highly as other possible targets. Also, there is no reason not to want the best for City. I would be very happy if we added those three, even though there are some strikers that I would prefer ahead of an ageing, injury prone RvP.

I'd be delirious if we sign Van Persie. Sure, it would be preferable to buy a younger player and develop him, especially in light of FFP, but fuck me... when did we become so precious so as to turn our noses up at the guy who was the best striker in the world last season? (or maybe 3rd best if we now class Messi and Ronaldo as strikers). And just think how motivated the guy will be to win trophies after the barren run at Arsenal. It's very rare that players THIS good have just 1 year left on their contract - it would be stupid not to be in the running for him.

I don't want RVP for the same reasons but I do think he'd be a huge success at City IF he stayed fit. If we are genuinely in for him though, it shows we don't give a shit about ffp and that we think we can win the Champion's Lg. No other reason for signing a player of that age.

The squad will evolve and players that the manager doesn't rate will be replaced by those he does. This eez football. I can't wait to see RVP banging the goals in next season in City blue, and I'm taking note of all those who are saying he's ageing and injury prone ;).

Ha, ha, ha. It's always good to take a note of the facts.

I'm not averse to City buying a more experienced player every so often so long as that is the exception... and the player is exceptional enough. An Arsenal season ticket holder that I work with suggested to me that RvP always struggles with injury after international tournaments. City have the advantage that they can rotate most players and that will hopefully help to keep injuries down.

Hazard, RVP and Martinez, we should all be very happy if this comes off. My personal fav would be Martinez. We would have the best defence in the world.
