I beleive there is more than one log jam.

RVP goes to rags what does that free up, RVP to us may be different.
I believe there is no log jam. We ain't selling any forwards and we ain't buying. We thought about it, but Carlos staying has ended any movement for major talent. IMO.

I disagree mate, can't see Dzeko still being here come Sept 1st.

I get that, just dont see a fourth forward been Cavani or RvP type, the rotation would be nigh impossible. But if Carlos had gone, Edin would be the bench warmer and RvP etc would have come.

-- Mon Aug 13, 2012 10:09 pm --

I really don't understand why Guidetti is not being talked about more on here (if not by the club) as Dzeko's replacement.

It would be fantastic for FFP and keep money back for any mammoth transfers this or next summer. Plus considering Guidetti's age I'm sure he wouldn't object to being 4th striker and getting over 20games - even if he rightly has a high opinion of himself (not the same as ego).

I really don't understand the logic of a big transfer upfront if Tevez is staying and looking class - we're only going to end up with one quality striker being pissed off next summer due to a lack of games and facing another situation where we are trying to offload top talent for poundland prices.

Am I the only one not wanting a big money striker coming in?

I cant wait til the next transfer window.

If we can get shut of Ade and RSC i reckon all our other transfer windows will be a cake walk compared to this. If however they are still here............the arguments we have had this summer will re surface next time (although only for one month). :-)

City and Ryan McGivern himself have turned down an offer from Brentford to sign him on a permanent deal according to Sky. Strange to see Uwe rejected but can understand it, McGivern had a decent season at Championship level so League One is one step down too far for him.

RvP a target man.

IF we find a buyer for Edin there is no way Bob will accept a second rate replacement.

I'd say that Bob is keeping as much of his budget back as possible for someone like Cavani.
