"We aren't buying a RB in January while we still have Walker."

Why , Walker is done and if we could bring in a replacement I could see him going, if we pay him off, maybe Sheffield?
He is done.

We still won't buy a replacement for him in January when 3 fit players can currently play in that spot.

It'll happen in the summer, whether that is the smart choice is up to debate.

Might be the only choice, I haven’t the faintest idea which right back(s) we are interested in but whether those players are available in January is doubtfull. I don’t think right back is even our main priority in January .

Pretty sure one of BM's experts will be along in a minute to tell you that we are signing nobody this January :)

We said that last season and he never really got better. We won the PL because Pep eventually went back to the 4 CBs, Rodri was on fire and Foden was in the form of his life. I'm not disrespecting Walker but I don't see him becoming like his pre-30 self again for the rest of his City career.
Walker played over 4,000 minutes for us last season. That was a ridiculous amount of football and he was fairly consistent throughout the campaign. His problems, like many of our problems, arose when he went on international duty and picked up an injury, meaning he was not quite the same at the tail. Still think we’d have won in Madrid had he been fit.
He can’t turn back the clock, but at some point in this season he’s going to save our bacon.

Didn't we give him a 2 & half year extension deal? Be lucky to get rid of him in the summer unless the Saudis come calling.

Well said.
Walker gets so much stick on here from fans who don't see the bigger picture of the fact he's at the tailend of his career and has done us proud in his younger years.

I give anything for younger and prime Walker back again.

That version of Walker is arguably the best RB in club history.

One if not the best RB the PL has seen but that's sadly irrelevant when his greatest asset ( pace) has gone.

He was struggling and a weak link for a lot of games last season and this season has been shockingly poor.
Also amazed that be did not retire from the National team after the Euros, that possibly may have helped him this season but instead he is simply pushing himself too much and it's shown.

We should have had a replacement in at least in the summer, maybe even 2 seasons ago, you simply can't be sentimental.

Great servant, for me our best RB in our history but time to say thank you and goodbye.

Bruno on his day is top class, unfortunately he has many games where he isn't on his day, 100M for him is still too much as the club believed in the summer, the lad at AC and a back up striker could be bought for a similar price

Might have lost a yard but he’s too good for the northern premier league division one east

One decent game against Forest doesn't mean everything is rosy. If we don't get a midfielder in January it will cost us.
