Working on full backs for ages, nothing to show for it STILL! How long before we are left hanging for Alexis and we have no time or plan B for strengthening another position !? Txiki is shitting around, hasnt been able to complete Walker Mendy yet.

This may have been mentioned already so if so ignore me but do we think the rumours PSG want Mangala for 17m might be connected to the Dani Alves transfer?
PSG say let us sign Alves on a free and we’ll then give you 17m for Mangala?

This was City's fault, should have finalized the day he left Juve, you think all other clubs were just waiting for us to pick a defender for free and would not have been calling him up.
 
The player was a free agent and made a choice, it wouldn't have mattered what we offered him if his heart was in signing for PSG we have to move on. As good as he was/is I think he is thirty four years of age, how long has he got left at the top? The lack of signings is a little worrying though after an initial bright start when the window opened.

Signing both Bernardo and Ederson raised hopes that our business would be done quite quickly and this is now leaving a lot of fans frustrated

Ideally we needed players for pre season but we still have a fair bit of the window left to sign players we want

Alves was ideal for many reasons but we move on

Hopefully plan b is in process
 
MCRJON came out a bit after that and said, "Walker is done." He's the closest thing to a proper ITK we have on here, so that is probably one, and I suspect Mendy is the other. I have a feeling Mendy will be announced sometime this week but, I KFA and that is just a guess. Walker though, I have know idea when it will be completed, other than I think he'll be in sky blue by the end of August.

His heart was to play for Pep again but needed a cheque to finalize and that did not happen - you snooze you lose.

Allegedly Walker was done, but then Levy fucked us over by hiking up the price when we released our fullbacks. No doubt that trend will continue even further with the Alves news.

I've been very pro Walker all window, however, it comes to a point now with this situation where we need to look at it wisely considering our need for a CB as well. I would be doing everything to convince Fabinho to come and play as RB and then utilise Maffeo as backup. Dire straights, we have Fernandinho.

We could pick up Fabinho for ~£40m and he's younger and more versatile. I feel like the Fabinho ship has sailed, though.

That would put a far different spin on it. Anyway people are getting far too excited too early in the window. If we can get two quality fulls we can get by for another season.
Dinho and Kolorov can cover not ideal but may be better than splashing the cash on inferior back ups. DON'T PANIC.
