Of all the players we are thinking of selling or using as part of a swap Bernardo should be at the bottom of the pile. He’s a great footballer and we would be instantly weaker without him. I’d have him over Grealish and day of the week.

I'm aware of that chap Immobile but who is this stagnant fella?

And I certainly wouldn't sell Bernardo if it means immobile will be in midfield. His best position is up front.
I’m not trying to have a pop at our mfs but there are times when the mid field is on absolute stand still but bernie is alway trying to open up with his never ending runs or dropping all the back to receive the ball .

What have I missed? Why do people think getting rid of Bernardo would solve any of our problems? Are we really that desperate for a new toy?

In my opinion, Bernardo is a dream player to have in a squad. Never complains, works hard, top quality and versatile. We dont need the money, he has said nothing about wanting to leave, so why on earth would we sell him? Makes zero sense.

I’m absolutely a Bernardo Silva fan. Problem is he hasn’t been the same player since the Mendy tweet incident that some idiots determined to be vicariously offended made an issue of it. Pep admitted it affected Bernardo quite badly. Maybe that is also on his mind?
Bernardo, one more unfortunate victim of 'woke' madness!

Many seem to think we have had a great season (just 3 wins away from the quadruple!), despite many players underperforming or not being good enough: Aguero (unavailable), Jesus (unproductive), Bernardo (unproductive), Cancelo (inconsistent), Rodri (not good enough), Sterling (poor)... How did we manage to win so many games (including 21 in a row) with so many underperforming players? Something doesn't add up.

...

Regardless no manager is going to be interested in getting rid of the midfielder he played more than any other, so this seems like another point where you and Guardiola have completely opposite assessments of a player.
It could be argued that he didn't have much other option? I doubt Ferns legs would have seen him play as many minutes as Rodri.

Anything imminent?? I was hoping for a boom on day one of window opening next week is it? Not happening i guess. I am just a bit anxious about the 9 ( whoever it is ) etc. wish we would announce some contract extensions as well. Stones - maybe?
Speaking of the extensions, was Fernandinho's ever officially announced?

You didn't mention the rogue refs and rushed/faulty Var decisions, the devastating negative effect of Juanma, truly a * season, hopefully we can get to 40 points before Easter 2022 to avoid the drop.

Well he always had the option to do what he did in the cup final. We know he 100% trusts Gundogan as a 6, and he could have played him there 20 times this season if he didn't love what Rodri was doing there.

IMO people who decided they don't like Rodri a long time ago are deliberately confusing Pep deciding he didn't want a defensive midfielder vs Chelsea and Pep not trusting Rodri.

The fact is the man said he decided he needed an extra attacker to break down the Chelsea defence, so it doesn't matter how much he likes Rodri as a defensive midfielder, he wasnt going to play.

The only kind of player who would have played that game would be an even more attack oriented 6, the likes of Frenkie de Jong or Thiago - who aren't defensive midfielders anyway and would be doing similar to Gundogan in the position.

Yes I am. This season, he was absolutely crucial in the way we set up and allowed the nine to work.

Absolutely crucial.

And I'm not even talking about the crucial goal that broke the deadlock against Villa at home or the man of the match display against them with ten men - which is the difference between four or five points right there.

He energy levels were incredible and filled so many gaps.

Pep was able to get the team back on track once he brought Foden and Bernie into the equation.
Of the two....I think we are a better team with Bernardo rather than De Bruyne.
We keep the ball better
