He didn’t have much of a chance and to be fair, didn’t put much of an effort. But right now he’s the best player in the best team of South America. He’s 100% ready for Europe
Yeah I suppose at 24 he might be a better age now, everyone is different after all and not everyone can adapt to such a major culture shock at a young age. Will be interesting to see how he performs at the Copa if he gets a chance

I am not one of Kane's biggest fans and would prefer we sign Haaland but Harry is not an ordinary footballer, he is a very, very good footballer.

His work rate, ability to hold up the ball and ability to pick a pass is very good and at this time, far better than Haaland.
Plus we get someone the to ref the game at same time ;)
cant see Kane getting half the free kicks he gets for spurs playing for us

But are you a smug bastard ... ?

Also for the record, the DMA's are terrible band. Trash. I would never have signed them.
Cant disagree with your last point. first two albums decent, last awful. Either way I apologise for my post . Not having a great morning but doesn’t excuse my post. Have a good day can’t be bothered falling out with anyone on here life is too short,

Furlough more staff? Clubs like Spurs/United love debt. Borrow borrow borrow it’s the FFP way;)
Spurs have hit their credit limit and fans will turn on the board , can see them organising a protest and not spending money in the stadium next season.
Spurs are in a big mess, levy has took the fans for granted .

I don't disagree that some of the marginal ones Harry gets at Spurs wouldn't be given at City - but we do get free kicks in good areas and Kev and Mahrez do take advantage of them (sometimes) - but football is a game of tight margins and games can and are won from set pieces - Kane would certainly increase our ability to convert from dangerous situations.

Yes I am. This season, he was absolutely crucial in the way we set up and allowed the nine to work.

Absolutely crucial.

And I'm not even talking about the crucial goal that broke the deadlock against Villa at home or the man of the match display against them with ten men - which is the difference between four or five points right there.

He energy levels were incredible and filled so many gaps.

Pep was able to get the team back on track once he brought Foden and Bernie into the equation.
I would also add, there would be no way Mahrez would have played as much, without Bernardo doing all his dirty work. No other player would have been that selfless, especially when you consider Mahrez plays in Bernardo’s best position.

Wouldn’t be my choice, but I actually think he might be the best penalty taker around today.

Have you seen him play before?

He used to date Neymar’s famous sister lol

Seen a bit of him in the Copa but otherwise not so much. Just thinking he would be a cheap but decent quality stopgap to bring in so we can go for Haaland next season. He's always seemed to be the best player in Brazillian domestic football.

There’s a good chance it won’t happen. Brazil played last night and in the post-match interview, captain Casemiro gave an indication that after Wednesday’s match they will announce the intention to not play in the Copa. That might end in coach Tite being fired or resigning. He was very emotional after the game. There is tension between the players, the manager and the president of the Brazilian federation.

Having said this, Gabigol isn’t the right man for the way Tite wants his team to play, but he’s playing so well right now that it’s impossible not to call him and, being there, he has to play. The Brazilian competitions don’t stop with the national team playing. There would be outrage if Tite took the main man out of the top team in Brazil just to keep him on the bench

edit: Just to be clear, when you say Copa, you are talking about Copa America, right?

He did not take the fans for granted, covid took the fans away and his cash flow.

Wow! What a mess

Not in the slightest. In what world would they pocket the difference between Dortmund's asking price this year and the next. They wouldn't. And no club would pay it.

His value isn't 150m. There is no value. There is simply an asking price. the rest is wages and incentives. Wages and incentives will be high either way, and based on what they can get from either us or other clubs, not on their cut of an arbitrary made up transfer value.

Sure, next year they may ask for more in incentives and wages, as he will have maybe proven himself even more, and as the asking price is less they may feel clubs can stretch further.

But that isn't pocketing a cut of this year's asking price, that's just an absurd take on it.
The €150M was an example market value used because the poster I was responding to quoted that figure.
The true market value, as you obviously understand, is whatever a club is willing to pay.
I used an example sum to counteract some nonsense theory that Haaland would be cheaper to buy once his €65M release clause kicks in, because it won’t, because if he’s sold it will be at the highest price the market will bear under any circumstances and regardless of who gets what from the fee.

I used the (example) difference between market value and reduced sale fee to demonstrate that if Dortmund wanted to sell Haaland this summer then he and his entourage would not agree to that sale if, by their calculation, if reduced what would be due to them next summer.

I can understand why you made your remarks but if you’d read further back in the exchange then you would have understood that I wasn’t proposing that any particular thing would happen, merely setting out the conditions that would be required for anything to happen, as ridiculously unlikely as that may be - as was made plain in my example.

Wow! What a mess
I edited that post to ask: “Just to be clear, when you say Copa, you are talking about Copa America, right?”
Because I’ve seen the Copa Libertadores being called just Copa here too

£60 to sit in the gods for the last home game of the season, and leaking to the press conte will keep kane at Spurs and will be given significant transfer funds to rebuild just before the season tickets renewal window shut.
Levy has mugged them off big time.
