It's not the wages or transfer fee that is a problem. It is the one-off illegal bung which Raiola wants (apparently £40m). City just won't do that. We don't want to get into another FFP wrangle. I don't believe Real or Barca will pay it either because the Spanish tax authorities are all over them at the moment. United might pay it because, as we all know, they can hide it all in the Cayman Islands and no one in the media, or at UEFA, will ever ask any questions about their finances. Even Ferguson, who has previously described Raiola as a scumbag, might suck it up.We have no choice but to break our wage structure if we want Haaland next Summer. United and PSG will find the money. Real Madrid will to, but only if they need him after signing Mbappé. Bayern won’t pay those wages. Neither will FSG at the American owned sports franchise club.

If he wants to come …I disagree with this. United have a wage bill that is sky rocketing. They've just added Ronaldo to that they won't be in the hunt for him now. Chelsea are happy with Lukaku and were put off by Riolas demands, Barca are broke, Madrid want both that's been reported but in January they will be agreeing a deal with Mbappe. Also Benzema is still there I don't see Haaland wanting to sit on the bench.
PSG could come in for him but they can't sign him till the summer because in January Mbappe will still be there plus Messi and Neymar wages their out of the race till the summer.
Who else is left no Italian club as their a mess financially.
City have money for a striker and Agueros wages off the wage bill. We can pay Haaland what he wants really and offer him a starting sport straight away. With a world class manager.

Creative in what way.There's no chance a promising youngster should be paid more than our best player who's delivered for this club week in week out for years and delivered silverware. However, his wages shouldn't be a deal breaker if we get creative.

Tell me about it. I went from disappointed that we're not replacing our best ever goalscorer to ecstatic that we didn't end up with one of the greatest of all time.
