James McAtee

Fantastic news. Can United fans put the crack pipe down now?

(Just to reiterate - he’s not a United fan)

Not this old shite again
He’s a blue, his brother who plays for Scunny is a red.
His own personal trainer confirmed this only the other week
Jay is actually a decent lad who generally knows his football and is usually non-partisan, despite being a red. But he has dropped a clanger there

great news and happy for the lad. now its time to kick on into the first team and take a shirt
i love all this youth coming to fruit from the academy they said would be pointless spending money on ? how wrong can they be (the media).

Bit like " his club " then, although tbf it should read " clangers on a massive scale "

How many of our upcoming youth are manchester lads? Do we think there will be quite a few who break through who are United fans? Obviously it's irrelevant who they support as long as they give 100% but would be interesting
Andy Hinchcliffe and Paul Stewart from bygone days of yore

He’d have been stupid to leave at this current stage of development. Being coached by the best coach of this era, KDB and Gundo will be leaving sooner rather than later and he’s a ready made replacement for either. I’d love to see a Manchester born centre back breakthrough, where is Doyle from?

Doyle and Harwood-Bellis are both local lads

Amazing news, kind of resigned myself to him leaving but it shows clearly we’re going to incorporate more youth into the team.

Palmer, McAtee, Mbete, and then young established players like Alvarez, maybe Pedro Porro, and fingers crossed, Haaland.

What a team we’re building. just need the bald genius to sign for another 10 years.

James is a very special talent. With this great City team and overall organisation he now has the platform to develop into a world class player. In his interview he came over as a very sincere lad who looks determined to work hard and do everything possible to succeed. There are so many outside influences these days which can affect and hinder younger players...his family will be so important here.

Am absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to watch James play in the coming years. Wishing the best of luck to him and his family.
