James Milner to West Ham

Said it a few times now so here goes, I think Milner would make a great RB. He has pace, a good tackle, good passing range and his intelligent. I know we have Zabba already, but we don't have much cover with Micah and his injuries. Milner would provide better crosses than Zabba and has an eye for goal for those game where we are struggling to break teams down, him and Navas could be dynamic. Plus it would allow micah to move to CB.
One of the best things though would be he'd most certainly take over from Glen Johnston in the England fold.

My only negative is my heart for Zabba.

No not heard the rumour and it fails as a likely scenario on many grounds:-

1. City need Milner

2. If Milner was to leave City it would be to a higher ranked club than West Ham (no offence to West Ham as a like the club, although not the manager)

3. I doubt very much that West Ham could afford him

Milner is a good player to have for the Premier League.

Shouldn't be in the starting 11 for European games though.

Saw that he was 5/2 with Skybey last night actually - thought it was ridiculous but someone somewhere is betting on it. Would be a mistake in my opinion.

Wouldnt mind seeing a midfield of Milner Yaya Ferdy if we are going to play a 3 - thats workman like and should chip in with a few goals

Depends who we're are playing and let's be frank, it wasn't Milner who lost us those games. It was the tinkering and lack of desire and pace. Milner doesn't lack pace or desire.

The club will never progress to where it wants to be (CL winners) if players like Milner are a regular in the side.

Milner is our Phil Jones, works hard, will run all day for you but ultimately isnt good enough. Teams like Barca, Bayern, Real etc dont require a workhorse with very little talent to be successful so why do City?

Milner should be nothing more than a squad player at City, playing a dozen games a season to give others a much needed rest. If he is happy with this, fine, if not then he should be moved on to free up space in the squad so the likes of Suarez can play those dozen or so games per season. For me its buying the likes of Milner for ridiculous fees and high wages which means they command some game time every season which hinders the development of the likes of Suarez.

Might not be a popular view but i would be happy to see the likes of Milner moved on.

I think we'd consider it strongly if the £ was right (20m+), but only if we had a better alternative boxed off.

Milner is a very good premiership player and grafts his nuts off, but in all honesty he disappears in the CL.

True....but we have plenty of other games other than Champs league.....he is a valuable member of the squad and should remain so. But 20+ would be tempting if we could get an improved player in similar mould....
