James Milner - Why Buy Him?

I always find that when we aren't playing well or get beat, Milners ability suddenly gets lifted ten fold.

He is average and a good squad player but lets not kid ourselves that he is the difference between turning draws into wins and defeats into draws.

If he really was as good as some make out then surely he would be playing or someone would have tried to buy him in the summer.

I know he is injured but I doubt he would have started either yesterday or in Madrid

He was injured yesterday!

sky sports says he is seeing a specialist over his toe injury, hopefully not a long term thing. I think if he had played the last 20 minutes against Madrid and Arsenal we would have won both games because of his energy and defensive cover.
