Another great game from James. That finish was quality and a decent cross that created the second. Top game from a top professional.

should be one of the first names on team sheet. gives his all every game and never gives up. he may not have the technical abilities of some of our top guys, but he puts in a shift and reads the game dam well
 
I still think he's going to be Barry's replacement in time, but possibly more of an attacking player.

Maybe Garcia for Barry and Milner for Yaya (not identical roles obviously) - some big boots to fill for both of them though..............
 
Player of the month so far. Definitely should have been given MOTM today. Needs to play every match while Yaya is away.

totally agree...he was quality. with him and barry in the side always going to have a good chance of dominating the midfield. as you say probably our most important player until yaya is back
 
I think it will be difficult to choose between Barry or Milner for January's Player of the Month. Still there are plenty of games left to decide.
