Have seen this guy mentioned a couple of times now but don't know anything about him other than what his wiki page says. Would somebody who watches Serie A on a regular basis mind filling me in on him?

Where does he rate among Serie A wingers? is he also a competent defender like his wiki page suggests or would he be just stop gap defence cover? can he actually play both sides?

If everything on his wiki page is accurate then he sounds like an ideal addition to the squad.

He's very much like Navas, but is equally good on the left. He's not a bad defender either which would mean we could use Kolarov or bed Luke Shaw in if he makes any mistakes (not that I think he will). Bags of stamina, very direct, dribbles something like twice as much as Ronaldo per game.

I have a suspicion we will spend a few quid in January.....

I reckon one of the Porto centre halves is odds on and we will also make attempts for quality at left back and defensive midfield.

The Malaga keeper rumours are also gathering pace.

Never seen him play on the left, doesnt he usually play as wing back on the right for Fiorentina?

Personally think we need an option on the left. Yevhen Konoplyanka or El Shaarawy are some possible targets.
