I don't see how anyone can judge him. He has joined a new league and been at the club lest than a month. He had a tough game on Tuesday and probably not used to such a phsical match the week after. Someone who knows him can comment on his potential, but even he was bought early in the year, you would not see his full potential until around Christmas at best. Since he was bought late, you probably will not see him at full tilt to the end of the season. Far too early to judge him.

This was the problem with our transfer window. We didn't improve our starting 11. We replaced De Jong with someone who is similar and spent 16m to do it.

It was a terrible mistake. I'm not writing him off, but he isn't the deep passer who would help us in games like this and Madrid. Same is true for Sinclair and Rodwell. We're getting loaded up with midfielders who all have the same limitations. We paid 18m for Milner and he won't even make the bench now.

I said exactly the same walking away from the ground today, not writing him or Sinclair off but in the first month's showing, no better that what we already had.

Mancini seems to think its because he didn't have the pre-season to bed them in. Don't buy this at all - Nasty didnt look out of place on Tuesday night did he?
