If they just ran past him our defence would have been under great pressure which they were not.He and Barry protected the defence pretty well all match which is why we were never at anytime under serious pressure.

The creative attacking side of his game wasn't up to much today maybe but his main job was well done.

I think its conclusive,he isn't good enough,how the fuck someone saw fit to pay 16/17m is comical.

He is a midtable quality player with a value of about 5m.Sidwell was twice the player today.
 
I actually thought he was better than Barry today (and I am a Gaz Baz fan). I slagged Javi off after the Arsenal game and really think he needs to show a massive improvement to justify the money we paid for him and for him to justify his place. Maybe by the end of the season we'll be in a better place to judge him.
