Javi Garcia

Garcia is finding it hard to adjust to the English game simple. He is struggling with the tempo of the games and isnt up to speed so far. No doubt next season he will up his level and be more used to the English style of football. Not saying he is a rubbish footballer but he just needs to show more in games. He should be dominating in midfield but I look to the midfield and I am guessing that a fully fit Rodwell may well give Garcia a run for his money as being the main back up in midfield. Saying that I wouldnt mind seeing Garcia given a run beside Vinny in defence hasnt looked out of place as a center back to me. This was supposed to be the De Jong replacement but any day of the week I would take De Jong back for him.

Just think there is going to be a major signing in the center of midfield come the summer. Both creative and defensive its what we need it badly we need a player to set the tempo of our game and move the ball along at a quicker pace at times.

Huge upgrade on NDJ... Can play midfield, Central defender, scores goals. Move on lads!

Well said mate, Totally agree.

Garcia is shite, not good enough.

"Huge upgrade on NDJ", don't make me laugh. Didn't think Nige was great personally but to think that Javi is much better, lol.

Passing range of a peanut, pace of a tortoise. Can get away with one of those traits but not both.

I really rate Garcia, I agree he is taking time finding his feet but on the wholeni think he has played very well in the last few games, he played especially well at CB as well, very happy with him on the whole. I think he could be a real force next season!

dont think he's a patch on De Jong
============
In what way? Doesn't do slide tackles?

More versatile than NDJ.. a bigger attacking threat... Reads the game as well if not better... wants to be here! Is our player, NDJ is not

imo De Jong covered far more ground won the ball back much more was quicker, so really just saying imo he was better DCM than Garcia, so anyway what do you think he does more than Hamman did ?

I've just told you above.... Hamman at city lol.... give it a rest. a 36 yr old Hamman did a job but to try and compare to Garcia... FFS... I'm going for a fucking lie down

well when you get up try and think of just 1 thing he does better, is he quicker ? better tackler ? read the game better ? better passer ? please just tel me 1

Who are you offering up V Garcia... NDJ or Hamman?

What is a DCM? Defensive Central Midfielder?

NDJ used to be a tackler... old type destroyer... His game was eradicated as the powers that be deemed his type of tackle unlawful. Hence he found himself on the fringe...

Seriously he offered nothing more than a good tackle, before Ben Arfa. Just my opinion and before you say I am clueless, I did play the game. :-)

You need to think about his game after the Ben Arfa incident... not before! I actually think he was unfairly treated over that incident (was a good tackle) and it affected his game.

He seems happy now...

So you're saying two years of scouting is totally nothing comparable to "a bit of homework"?

two years scouting? he was laid up for the last 6 month. with the same injury whats been troubling him here.

yes a bit more homework should of been done.

Rodwell needs to be looked after properly and from what I saw he will become good player, plenty of pace, just needs a bit more of an attacking license

there is a chance rodwell will come good. unlike garcia there's not a chance he'll come good you've only got to look at his cv. 5 years at real madrid and played in a handful of meaningless games ,he was farmed out to a third division side during this time and eventually sold to benfica for 5 mill.

it's like buying a good midfielder in scotland, you don't know how good they are till they hit the premiership. he's piss poor. bad signing.

Hamman

Think the Yaya / Garcia partnership in the coming seasons could be very productive

Alex Song cost the same. He is a better tackler and passer and has better movement and prem suited. He is the one we should have gone for.

Garcia doesn't have the mobility or passing range to ever become a top player, in short it's fanciful to base our future around him, I see a squad role for him.
