thats enough for now then

yep.....

wouldnt be anywhere near the team for me

id play zabs in centre mid next to barry against everton (assuming milner injured)

Re: Javi Garcia ?

He made one excellent tackle at the start of the second half. The rest of his performance was embarrassing for a Premier League player. Maybe it was a one off and he needs more time to get properly fit but I fear for his future based on what we saw tonight. He needs to step it up bigtime.

Which holding player should we have got instead? Obivisouly Dejong wanted out to play for a 'big team'. I can only think of Tiote but he would be gone in January for Afcon. Felliani and Dembele are both attacking players as is Benat.

dejong wanted more game time....not money or a bigger team

Re: Javi Garcia ?

He may come good, but its that catch 22 situation, he needs games to improve and get used to the tempo etc, yet we cant really afford to play him if he is going to perform like he did tonight.
He looks alarmingly off the pace, it was frightening!

There is a light said:
Yaya, de Jong, Barry - did any of them impress in the first six months?

I can remember all of them being crucified in some quarters, hope it will change for Garcia like it did for all of them.

I have to admit it doesn't look likely on tonights showing though!

dejong impressed me in the first few games he played

we all knew what barry was about when he came here and again he has impressed

yaya - only those that listen to the media were disappointed by yaya......his first touch passing is as good as anyones..not on form right now but you could see his class straight away

garcia just doesnt cut it at present...he should be last choice...he hasnt adapted and his positional sense is woeful. he offers no protection to the back 4 whatsoever, weak in the challenge....(can u imagine NDG or even barry or milner missing out on some of those challenges he did tonight??)

he needs to be brought on slowly at present....in games where we are comfortably in the lead and not before

Re: Javi Garcia ?

He needs time to settle, not everyone can hit the ground running. Compare it to you starting a new job, the first few months you are a spare part, until you grow into the role.
