Just seen a report on Facebook from someone who is very reliable MCFCjustsayin, no chance Joe is playing for us again.

I think his shit euros and being dropped by Pep have really hurt what we can get for him. I think pre euros we were looking at 30-40 million. Now 25 seems a lot more realistic.
It doesn't help that many of the teams who would pay a large fee have keepers currently perceived to be better or at least just as good as Joe.

this will be another stick for the press to beat us with,

@Metalartin thanks mate.

You could see player power with other players more I guess. Either way looks like he is off. Too many papers reporting it now.

Ah sorry then, have to be wary of sarcasm onb bluemoon haha. I'll try and do a quick summary off the top of my head.

Apparently the reason Pantilimon lost his place in goal in the Wigan final was because the players knew Mancini was getting the sack and they said they want Hart in so perhaps some players have been doing this for a while(can't just be Hart but he will be a good example to make I guess). Other than that the general gist of it is some people think it's matter of getting too big for his britches and Pep's spotted a player power issue with him. He didn't help matters by not doing as asked against Arsenal or making a clear effort at the very least and he apparently made it a bit too clear he wasn't happy he wouldn't be starting at the weekend when he found out.

Just listened to the podcast (the 1h7m part at least) Very interesting stuff. I've always liked Joe as i think many of us have. But i also think he's a confident guy who at times may have crossed the extremely blurred line from confidence to arrogance. Personally, it used to annoy me (few years back) when after he'd make a big save he'd come up laughing and smiling instead of yelling at Lescott for passing the ball directly to the other teams striker and allowing the opportunity. With that being said, if he never allowed a goal in his career I think he'd probably be able to get away with banging Pep's wife and he'd still put him in the starting XI. The distribution is probably the main reason but I'm guessing Pep not really liking that type of cocky player played a part in his soon to be departure.

Honestly have no idea, just my best guess given the very little information we know about the situation.

I really think Bravo is a top 5-7 GK in the world (although i didn't realize how old he is) so i'm excited and surprised that he'll be in goal this year but it is sad to see Joe go. The CityTV YouTube channel will certainly not be as funny.

I'll say one thing he is daft if he took Pep on in any way. It is well known that there is no room for dissent/debate in his dressing room. There was no room for Ibrahimovic's ego/ inflexibility and any challenge will be a chance for Pep to show his authority. Joe would know this though surely, although you would think the same of Nasri, but he was silly enough to return unfit.
