Joe Hart [MERGED]

Re: Thank god we didn't sell Given...

hart far better than given and saves us more points than given, all players make mistakes over the course of a season but joe harts are far less than all the other players

Re: Thank god we didn't sell Given...

I am not a goal keeper or an expert in the position but I don't see that Hart did a lot wrong for the goal.

not a knee-jerk reaction at all, but after tonight i'd play Given for Hart sunday.

as a keeper myself, hart should have been all over that shot for the goal, he kicked it out of play about 5 times again, every pass back he got i thought he was gonna miss kick or fall over.

when you have two class keepers in your squad, you use them both if needed, if hart is gonna carry on with his current performances, he'll be on the bench.

Right 1 quick queston to the Hart fan club how many mistakes can he make before he gets dropped? The mistakes he makes end up with City conceding goals and if he isnt fully focused on the game he is tend to do a fuck up.

Its not about ruining his confidence its about the team dropping points if it continues he has no right to be the City number 1 if Given is still in the squad. Fair enough if Given wasnt there then he would be grand as he is streets ahead of the other keepers but not Given.

How many points has he saved us? and how many points did Given cost us last season? I know two derby defeats were down to him.

He played ok other than the goal which has to take some of the blame for along with Mr Clumsy Toure.

He is starting to make mistakes and he needs to focus better. The error at Leicester meant we had to play a replay in midweek when Villa didnt.

I dont think bringing Given in is the answer but he has to improve. His distribution has been poor in recent games too!

given had his chance v wba this season and shud have saved at least 1 of them.

Haha, come on now... as a man who has touched a blade of grass before, i feel i can confidently say i wouldn't dare tell a professional footballer what to do based on my fantastic sporting career ;)

I don't agree on your other point either; the one position you don't rotate, is your goalkepper; he commands the entire back line and the different tenancies between personnel would stifle the consistency of the back line.

Hart is hugely overated, he provides the bare essentials of a goal keeper. The trumpet is blown about him because he's English. He is simply better than any other English keeper. He may improve, or he may not, at the moment I would put Cech, Reina, Van Der Sar, Howard and Gomez ahead of him. THe one redemming issue is his age, which he has over all the keepers mentioned. He's avery quiet keeper, in that he the doesn't marshal the defence strongly enough. Strange, as he's first choice on merit.
tripe.

i don't mean rotate, if needed i said, how many chances if hart gonna get? that's all.

seriously, that shot he should have been on top of, was poor goalkeeping.
