I could take either decision when it comes to Hart. If Pellegrini decides to back Hart, I'll support it. If he decides to give Pantilimon a run, I support it. Both sides of the argument make sense.

My thoughts exactly, I've always backed joe but the mistakes are too often, however I'm far from convinced about Pants...one things for sure the best reaction to Hart being selected again on Saturday (which I think he will) is to sing his name and let him know we are right behind him.

You're far from convinced about 'Pants' yet Hart continues to make catastrophic errors and that is ok.

Just out of interest; what has Costel done to make you not convinced? And what has Hart done recently to convince you are convinced that he is still the convincing first choice?

Don't think we've seen that much of him to be honest cost us in League Cup against Villa last season and in most of the other cup games he hasn't really been under vast amounts of pressure if the manager decides to give him a go i'll support it just like like i'll support if he keeps Hart in who confidence must be shot to pieces, sometimes its small margins on another night when he got his hand to that first one if his luck was in it would have gone around the post and we'd have been talking about a class save.for me Lescott would have a run on Saturday along side Kompany to give Nasti a break as well.

Whether you think Joe Hart deserves to be dropped or not, would Pellegrini really have the bottle to do it? We already know Hodgson hasn't, as let's face it Roy is basically Mr Nice Guy who doesn't want to upset anyone and I'm starting to get the impression Pellegrini is the same. Even if Joe's performances got worse and worse I'm not convinced he is a strong enough manager to make such a big call. I may be wrong and would hold my hands up if Costel started on Saturday(I'm not saying I necessarily think he should, but I would applaud our manager for a brave decision).

Wasn't Pellegrini brought in because we wanted a "nice" manager who wouldn't upset people? Totally wrong in my view because if, as a manager, you're best mates with all the players, you're doing something wrong. Football isn't about making friends.

Oh i don't know about that. He had one bad game, but he was brilliant against Chelsea in the FA Cup. He made two saves that were just jaw dropping.

The worrying thing is he is now getting beaten by shots most average keepers would turn around the post like the two last night from Ribbery and Robben.

Ribery got terrific pace on a shot from a very short back lift. Robben put in a rasping, very accurate shot, whilst disguising until very late where he was going to place the ball. Average keepers wouldn't have saved them. If Hart had got a fraction more glove on Robben's shot and touched it onto the post and out for a corner the reaction would have been "great save". They were by no means the easy saves that people are making out.

Hart should have saved both. He's an international keeper playing at the very top level. He's expected to make those saves (just as Negredo should really have done better with that late header). If he continues to concede those goals we should sell Hart because he wouldn't be good enough for us. Arsenal would probably take him, he's much better than their keeper. But Hart has had dodgy spells before and come back from them so I wouldn't write him off yet.

You are right. Hart should have done better, and the consequences were disastrous, but they were not easy saves, and he was not alone in playing below par

And nearly cost a goal missing a cross so not sure that constitutes brilliance. Keepers make mistakes, Joe is mkaing too many, but if Pants was as good as people remember surely Mancini or Pellegrini would have acted by now - they both seem to make objective decisions. Joe has to sort it out and fast or he could go the same way Robinson did which would be a shame. It could be the making of him as he is clearly fighting for his future for both us and England. I hope he makes it but he cannot continue like this as his dip is lasting the best part of a year.

Hart needs taking out of the firing line for a game. I would invent an injury and send him on holiday for two weeks. No public humiliation of dropping him and the inquest that would follow. Let him play against Everton and for England them send him away to get his head sorted. We have West Ham away which Pantimillion is probably better suited to anyway then bring him back for the Chelsea game.
