If Joe were to move, where could he go and be sure of being number one?

Arsenal look ok now,Liverpool have a top keeper, the rags and Chelsea wouldn't want him,nor Spurs.Any other club and it would be a step down.

Valdes is leaving Barca in the summer isn't he?

Maybe Joe thinks he's good enough.

Barca are that good you could probably stick a traffic cone in goal for them and they would still win most games, not a lot of challenge for Joe there.

Barca rely on their keeper to be as good with their feet as they are with their hands, I can't see Hart needing the factor 5 just yet..

Players are dropped every week on every team. If he wants to throw his toys out of the pram then off he trots. Te hehe club is more than one player.
I don' t think he will but if he did he doesn't really have much options.
Hart would probably view himself as too good for anyone outside of the top 4, whoever they are these days, but there's no way in the earthly world that City would sell him to a top competitor, or that they'd want him. That realistically means going outside of England, which I don't think he'll do.
He needs to put his head down and work hard. If he puts the work in there's no reason he wont get his spot back unless You have to earn your spot on the team. He's hasn't earned it lately. If he works hard and deserves it he'll get it back. It's that simple, but throwing a strop won't get you anywhere. We'll get to see what kind of attitude he has, and whether or not he's a team player.

As a player, especially a keeper, it's not about rotation, it's about setting a foundation, getting consistancy. A keeper is usually only dropped if they give the manager a reason to drop them. It's not about taking turns or freshening up the team.
So if they're serious about dropping Hart than stick with Pantilimon, don't just turn around and play Hart next week, and act like this was a "lesson".
Let Pantilimon stay in goals until he gives the manager a reason to drop him or Hart, more to the point, gives him a reason to start him. It's up to Hart.

Let's be fair to Costel
.
He played really well today didn't he. I mean, look at how well he walked on to the pitch and back off it!
That's pretty much all he had to do. He deserves a run in the team now.

Yes and yesterday also said a lot about how Joe won 3 Golden Gloves. Joe has been good for City and I think he will be back at some point. However, whoever plays in goal for us is likely to have little to do in most home games and win the Golden Gloves if they play a full season.

Its Costel's job to lose.

IF we beat CSKA then Hart should get the job for the Plzen, Bayern and Leicester games. Assuming we beat Leicester Hart should also play in the Capital One semi finals and the 3rd and 4th round of the FA cup.

At the point MP should know whether to stick with Costel or re-instate Hart.

Begiristain should also know whether to buy a new keeper in the January window.

I think dropping him for the Norwich game is the right decision. But I would like to see him back for the CSKA game. I think anything longer than the Norwich game will cause him problems. should be enough to instill the focus he needs.

How does one game on the bench make him a world beater again

and what would that do to Pantilimons confidence

why is Hart more important than any other Manchester City player? and why should he not be picked on form?

Hart has been suspect for tweleve months and kept his place until now Pantillimon should be given at least a couple of months in the first team

Then the club can asscess both keepers and make the decision If we need to buy a keeper to replace either Hart or Pantillimon based on performance

It was great to hear the chants of, "England's No. 1!" for Hart and "You'll never play for England!" directed at Ruddy.

A great show show of support for Joe, IMHO.

However, I do agree that it was right to take Joe out of the firing line, at least for a few matches.

Pellegrini has to stick by his decision now and play Pantillimon against CSKA!
Worse thing he can do is play Hart on Tuesday as Hart will get in his head that he can be dropped against the weaker oppositions but play against the stronger ones!

Leave him out for the 5 games I say! Yes that's including Spurs at home!

Spurs at home ain't gonna trouble us. We are so strong at home and my obese uncle has more chance of scoring than the spurs do at the moment

City watch recon that joe will quit city to ensure keeping his England place..what a load of liars, bullshitting about our club to get views and hits, disgusting

Lovecity is a pretty good poster so i doubt he would tweet something like that unless he was 100% sure on his source of information.

I'd trust forevercity on this one, no disrespect to Lovecity.

Besides, There's no way joe would be taking his ball home with him over this. He will know full well the ,manager had little choice.

Incidentally I liked the way Pellegrini painted it as 'a rest' to the media yesterday. Clever management, to both the public and the player.

Neville Southall on criticism of Joe Hart:

"It's like a half finished Mona Lisa. If you walked in on Leonardo Da Vinci when he was in the middle of painting the Mona Lisa you'd probably say "that's sh*t"

People forget Joe has been in the game for a long time and is only 26 years old and keepers generally peak in their early 30's. He's going to be a world class keeper, but for now, Pantilimon will fill in during his rough patch.

There are some clever buggers on here. Do you think it did?
By the way, noticed Joe Hart wearing a blue & white scarf while he was sat on the bench yesterday. Show of loyalty, maybe.
