There really are no words to express the horror of this. My thoughts are with John and his daughter and their family and friends.
Truly horrifying.Apparently the youngest daughter at 25 was in a relationship with him. The mum and two sisters were tied up for 3 hours before being shot in the chest with a crossbow by this lunatic. They were found by John Hunt on his return from work at about 7.00pm and were all still alive but they all died at the scene.
He is one of the few red media who is actually ok on things City. A genuine bloke. I must admit, I was welling up a bit myself listening to him there. :(Chapman is a good bloke had the pleasure of a pint in his company last year spoke very highly of City.I know he is a united fan but was very balanced with his opinions.
And a horrific one at that. His brother is inside for murder. Bet their parents were real winners.
The old adage about the apple not falling far from the tree isn't always the case. Sometimes the parents can be really sound people who were unfortunate to have real swine for children. Not saying that's the case in this story, as I haven't really read too much about it, past the headlines. His brother is inside for murder. Bet their parents were real winners.
Football can only ever be a sport, nothing more. Shankly once said that football was more important than life or death. He was wrong. I was gutted after the Wembley no show last season. But then you try to imagine what that poor bloke is going through these days.Disappointed with itv news last night, after 3 hours of football the main story was about the match and not this, at least BBC news led with it then went back to the match.
Football is and always should be distraction from reality all be it a great distraction.
I remember a staunch socialist putting me in my place back when city won the league cup in the seventies and I thought it was the best thing in the world, son he said "football was invented to occupy us on the weekends so we don't notice how shit our daily grind in factories and mines (us) really is"
I thought what a miserable fucker he was and couldn't understand why City wasn't the greatest thing ever. He didn't support anyone and didn't dislike football, he just saw it in a different way.
Almost 50 years later (and it could be an age thing) he gave me a perspective that I can enjoy the ups and downs of football but it has to be in it's place.
What happened to this family yesterday was a terrible thing to happen to any family and no matter who or where they come from, it was bigger news than the match.

Where've you read that mate? Can't get it out of my head, pure evil tied them up and executed them. Far too many men are violent scum who bully and abuse women.
Where've you read that mate?
Where've you read that mate?
Well I hope it's not true as that adds another layer of horrorI've read they were tied up for three hours.

I hope he hangs himself.Oh goodness, this is horrible. One of those crimes that makes you feel sick to your stomach.
RIP Carol, Hannah and Louise.
Thoughts are with John Hunt and his remaining daughter tonight. I can't imagine what they're going through.
I hope the murderer feels the full force of the law.
I certainly wouldn't mourn him.I hope he hangs himself.
Never mind the force of the law
