What do you want him to do, stop coming to training? He's still a professional. He put in a transfer request last year and from what we know he's told them he wants to leave, so may have done so again this summer.

If we didn't plan on increasing our offer this all could have been handled a month ago and moved onto other targets.

Not sure Pep will be too happy with that. The three he no doubt wanted NOW are Gundongan, Stones and Sane.

Yep Stones is still raw as a player even though he has played 77 premier games, Tosin looks the business but needs premier experience.

I actually think Pep is the one telling Txiki don't go more than 40m. I think he's the opposite of Mourinho and don't want players with huge price tags and would rather mold youth and make due with what we have. I see Pep as having a valuation on Stones and if he doesn't come for that price we move on. He'll probably use Sagna and/or Clichy at CB instead.

Transfer-wise it's been a poor summer*. This SHOULD turn on its head the next week or so, though we've been saying that for a couple weeks in a row now.

Not going to throw all the toys out the pram now since it's not even August, but squad as it stands right now is no better than it was in May. Just older. Better coached, mind.
