Doesn't mean Chelsea will accept his request though. Most transfer requests seem to be rejected these days. But nevertheless, this is interesting news!

He only has a year on his contract so they may even have decided to cash in anyway and getting £35-40m for a player in that situation would certainly be great business for them.

It's entirely possible they're just waiting until they've got the green light for someone like Ribery so they can deflect any heat they might get from Chelsea fans.

Well the words "Fuck me" spring to mind here.

If he does indeed slap a transfer request in, I feel it could be a ploy on his part to see just how far Chelsea are prepared to go to keep him so I suspect he'll end up staying. However, his comments last week about being worried for his position under the new manager BEFORE it became public knowledge that we'd put a bid in for him (apart from Spursmad telling us all on here of course lol) appear to indicate that he must at least be entertaining our interest.

No offence SM, but this is one that I will not believe you on until it happens! If we get JT we'll be the most hated club in football. I still think he's just doing it to get a bigger wage packet from Chelski.

I'm not having a go Dobsy, but who gives a feck what other people think. Its only jealousy anyways....Comedy club or hated club!!! I know which one I will be picking.

Besides the hatred wheels have been in motion since we were rumoured to be in the comfy zone with Frankie T.

For me Terry does two things for City (1) Sures up an unorganised defence and (2) helps to attract other English players to Eastlands.

Agreed this will lift our profile in world football.

I remember, for the friendly in kasakstan, said he met a load of the team after the game. Funny read, the guy got slated for saying JT called barry 'teammate'

Chelsea offer Terry the wages he wants, a longer contract and assure him he's still a key player and they still want him and he'll stay.

If he doesn't get those assurances, then he may ask to leave.

we'll be public enemy number one if we get him. Not a football thing. A PR thing. Undoubtedly would improve our back 4 but fucking hell the ruining football agenda will be ramped up beyond belief.
